Sum of Functions Difference of Functions

1. Given: g(x) = -2x2 ; h(x) = x 1. Given: a (x) = -2x3 – 5x +4 ; b (x) = 3x2 + 2x – 6

(g + h) (x) = g(x) + h(x) (a – b) (x) = a(x) – b(x)

(g + h) (x) = - 2x2 + x (a – b) (x) = (-2x3 – 5x + 4) – (3x2 + 2x – 6)

2. Given: g(x) = -4x – 6 ; h(x) = x + 8 (a – b) (x) = -2x3 – 5x + 4 – 3x2 - 2x + 6
