below.

Mr. Shashi, who is architect, designs a building for a small company. The
design of window on the ground floor is proposed to be different than other
floors. The window is in the shape of a rectangle which is surmounted by a
semi-circular opening. This window is having a perimeter of 10 m as shown
above.
(i) If 2x and 2y represents the length and breadth of the rectangular portion
of the windows, then find the relation between the variables.
(ii) What is the combined area (A) of the rectangular region and semi-
circular region of the window expressed as the function of x?
(iii) What is the maximum value of area A, of the whole window?

The owner of this small company is interested in maximizing the area of the
whole window so that maximum light input is possible.
For this to happen, what should be the length of rectangular portion of the

below.

the set of players while B be the set of all possible outcomes.
Let A = {S, D}, B = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}
(i) Raji wants to know the number of functions from A to B. How many
number of functions are possible?
(ii) Let R: B →B be defined by R = {(1, 1), (1, 2), (2, 2), (3, 3), (4, 4), (5, 5),
(6, 6)}, then check if R is reflexive, symmetric and transitive?
