SAFETY NOTES

• Complete required Permit-To-Work (PTW).


• Lockout / Tag-out Permit required
• Review / Complete Job-Safety-Analysis (JSA).
• Inform Area authority if work is carried out on critical equipment for ongoing
operation.
• Do not wear jewellery when working around rotating machinery.
• Wear all proper safety equipment.

JOB PLAN INSTRUCTION

1. Inspect the exterior of the AC motor, including the cables for damage.
2. Check for excessive bearing noise or vibration.
3. Check for excessive motor or bearing temperatures.
4. Check cooling fan and fan cover.
5. Verify motor is clean with no excessive paint.
6. Check and verify that junction and starter boxes are properly sealed.
7. Check that the AC motor is correctly earthed.
8. Megger pump motor and record.
9. Take Amp Reading on motor phase A and record.
10. Take Amp Reading on motor phase B and record.

11. Take Amp Reading on motor phase C and record.


Check and verify the operation of the indication lights and starter buttons. Test the operation of

emergency shutdown button.
13. Visually inspect starter for signs of overheating.
