4. Tools and Instruments
4.1 Hand-held vibration measurement instrument.
4.2 Hand-held infrared thermometer.
4.3 Process Calibrator.
4.4 All tools and instruments shall have current calibration certificates.
5. Conditions to be met prior to Commissioning
5.1 The installation work is over and the commissioning team agreed to accept the system to

start commissioning.
5.2 A punch list covers all defects or unfinished works is confirmed by the construction
sub-contractor and commissioning team that the defects or unfinished works do not affects
commissioning and system normal running.
5.3 Work permit system is in working.
5.4 Safety isolation measures are implement.
5.5 All identifications are complete and correct.
5.6 Hydrostatic test for pipe and other pressure equipment have been completed and qualified.
5.7 Monomer test run of oil pump is acceptable.
5.8 The oil flushing is over, and oil quality is acceptable.
5.9 All I&C instruments have been checked.
5.10 Road is unblocked with sufficient lighting and available accident lighting.
5.11 The communication equipment is available.
5.12 The fire apparatus is sufficient in number and convenient for fetching.
5.13 Loop check and DCS interface verification have been executed.
6. Commissioning Procedure
6.1 Interlock Protection Test
Complete interlock & protection test for EH oil pumps.
Complete interlock & protection test for EH circulate oil pumps.
Complete interlock & protection test for EH tank heater.
6.2 Pressure regulation of EH oil pump
6.2.1 Respectively start up EH oil pump, slowly increase pump outlet pressure.
6.2.2 The actuating pressure for the overflow valve shall be regulated as 14.0MPa.
6.2.3 The outlet pressure of EH oil pump shall be regulated as 11.2MPa through the pump
pressure regulator.
6.3 Pressure regulation of EH circulate oil pump
6.3.1 Start up one EH circulate oil pump, slowly increase pump outlet pressure.
6.3.2 The actuating pressure for the overflow valve shall be regulated as 0.5MPa.
6.3.3 The outlet pressure of EH circulate oil pump shall be regulated as0.3MPa through the pump
pressure regulator.
6.4 Trial running of EH oil system
After completion of system pressure adjustment , EH oil system for commissioning. Check
for leaks system during commissioning, record the pump running parameters. Tank temperature
more than 35 ℃ in the cooler, observe the oil temperature change.
6.5 Commissioning for oil cooler

Two oil coolers are installed on oil tank, set with an independent self circulating cooling
(mainly composed of circulating pump and solenoid water pump ).the solenoid water pump can
set value as pre oil temperature of oil tank and adjust the solenoid water pump switch ,to ensure
that the oil tank oil temperature is control within range of working temperature under normal
working condition .
6.6 Change over test on load of EH oil pump
During the period of on load start-up, complete of Change over test on load of EH oil pumps
by tripping the running pump.
7. Safety measures
7.1 Rules on Commissioning Safety
7.1.1 Personnel participating in commissioning shall beware of and abide by relevant safety
system of the site, be in reasonable clothing and wear suitable safety protection articles, and use
qualified tools and machines.
7.1.2 Before commissioning work, the commissioning personnel will make technical and safety
clarification to other personnel involved in commissioning to enable them to beware of the
objective, steps and possible risks in the work and precautions that can be adopted.
7.1.3 Power failure and transmission for equipment must be made in written communication for
operators to signing for confirmation of power failure and transmission work is completed before
commissioning.
7.1.4 Hang warning boards for equipment of which operation is prohibited such as valves, electric
switches, buttons, and when necessary adopt mechanic measures for locking.
7.1.5 If equipment damage or personnel injury accidents have or might to be occurred in working,
stop working immediately and put the equipment in minimum energy status and analyze the
reasons and put forward resolution measures.
7.1.6 Each party participating in commissioning shall follow the commissioning personnel, and in
case of emergency that endangers personal or equipment safety, any person has the right to
immediately stop the running equipment and report immediately to the control room.
7.2 Measures for Personal Risk Prevention
7.2.1 At places adjacent to rotating equipment, it shall be prevented the human body, tools, or
other articles from being involved in.
7.2.2 Protective helmet and safety belt shall be correctly worn to prevent from personal injury
accidents.
7.2.3 Safety protection facilities shall be well prepared for working at height and on platforms.
7.2.4 During EH oil system commissioning, relevant work of turbines and valves shall be stopped
to prevent from personal injuries caused by actuating mechanisms.
7.3 Equipment Risks and Prevention Measures

7.3.1 During EH oil pump operation, the changes of oil temperature shall be monitored closely,
and if oil temperature is too high, cooling water shall be added in time.
7.3.2 The working of filter screen shall be closely monitored, and if blocking is found, timely
replacement and cleaning shall be done.
7.3.3 If putting into operation of the electrical heater is required, first start up the circulating
pump.
