STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

ARCHITECTURE HAS BEEN CONSIDERED A CATALYST FOR THE SOCIOECONOMIC AND

THE CULTURAL ADVANCEMENT THROUGHOUT THE TIMELINE. IT AIMS TO SERVE THE
INDIVIDUALITY OF A PERSON WHILE RESPECTING THE WHOLE OF HUMANKIND.

IN THE PAST THREE YEARS, I HAVE LEARNT THE ESSENCE OF DESIGN, AND ITS
INFLUENCE ON EVERY ASPECT OF HUMAN LIFE HAS INSPIRED ME TO UNDERSTAND
AND ENGAGE IN THE FUNCTIONAL AND AESTHETIC ASPECTS OF SUSTAINABLE AND
ENERGY-EFFICIENT DESIGN.

I AM SEEKING AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE THE PRACTICALITY IN

DESIGN, FURTHER HONE MY SKILLS, AND DEVELOP NEW ONES WITHIN A
PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT.

I HOPE THIS RESUME GIVES YOU AN INSIGHT INTO ME AS A DESIGNER AND MAKES
ME A SUITABLE CANDIDATE TO BE A PART OF YOUR PRISTINE TEAM. I LOOK
FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU.

The design brief created by NASA in association with GRIHA
intended on redeveloping a slum into a high-rise affordable
housing complex using sustainable
approach satisfying all the guidelines set up by GRIHA.

Ashok Vihar, Delhi

ABOUT THE SITE

The proposed site for slum development is located in
Jailorwala Bagh, Ashok Vihar, Delhi. Jailorwala Bagh is
currently houses around 1400 jhugis and is home to
nearly 7000 people.
ABOUT THE PROJECT

Skenigma aims to be a symbol of the confluence of affordability

and sustainability. It intends to alleviate that which is evident and to
bring to the forefront that which has been simmering.

The amalgamation of unique S-shaped structures and the twisted

floors trail best describes the building. Each floor stacks efficiently
to describe green building at its best. The units harness the
renewable source to make it energy-efficient and sustainable.

The design satisfies 27 of the 32 guidelines in the GRIHA

Affordable Housing Rating system that evaluate the environmen-
tal performance holistically over its entire life cycle and provides a
definitive standard for what constitutes a ‘green building.’

BIOMORPHIC DESIGN
Termites use swarm intelligence and collective behavior to
construct mounds on top of their deep subterranean nests.

The mound protects them from the external environment

while allowing the insects to exchange energy, information,
and matter with the outside world.

Using this principle, the building is designed in a shape that SOIL

allows it to harness natural wind for ventilation purpose and NEST

THE UNIT
The dwelling unit is the essence of the living space. Hence, it becomes
imperative to be alive to the challenges they face, as a consequence of both
affecting and being affected by their surroundings. Thus Special attention
must be given to its anatomy. A dwelling unit for the Economically Weaker
Section warrants a bedroom, kitchen, toilet, and a multipurpose hall.

IV SEMESTER DESIGN STUDIO 2020
The design challenge was to design a student plaza in the
campus of MNIT Jaipur that has all the basic facilities for
college students and serves as a place for them to relax after
college hours.
MNIT JAIPUR
Malviya Nagar, Jaipur

ABOUT THE SITE

The Student Plaza is a part of the MNIT Jaipur campus
located between the hostels and Sports Complex.
Its location makes will serve as a recreational place for
students to relax after college hours before going back to
their hostels.
ABOUT THE PROJECT

‘Vilay’ is the Hindi term for ‘merging.’ It means two different or

similar things merge into each other to create a new form.
Tradition and Modernism combine together to give rise to a form
that is in harmony with the site context yet has a value of
modernity in it.

The vast spread departmental store, the unisex salon, and the
stationery shop fulfill all college students’ needs. The cafe is a great
meet-up spot for students to relax and catch up with one another.
it also has a glass courtyard, a quiet and peaceful space to sit and
read a book for a while.

There is a two-story indoor sports complex with various kinds of

indoor games. An outdoor seating area with a beautiful fountain
provides a lovely outdoor space for students to sit and enjoy nice
spring weather.

ARCHDAIS THE SACRED SPACE 2020
The objective was to design a Place of Faith that acts as a
sanctuary for the secular world- a Sacrosanct where people
can be true to their own religion and engage in a peaceful
dialogie with one another.
GUNDU ISLAND
Puthuvype, Kochi

ABOUT THE SITE

The site is an abandoned island in the middle of the city
of Kochi which was earlier a fort base. The island has been
developed by the Taj Group as a resort but still has a lot to
offer as a major cultural spot in Kochi.
ABOUT THE PROJECT

Located in the Kochi backwaters, the chosen island disconnects

from the hustle and bustle of the city yet allows him to enjoy the
views on all four sides. The journey to the site is an immersive
exploration of a person in search of Turya (pure consciousness).

The essence of Kochi is captured by three things: Camaraderie of

the people - which enlivens the Travancore, Biennale - which acts
as a transformative stage for the city, and the Ethos of Kochi.

In the design, these parameters translate into the community

space, the bridge, and the hall of senses, respectively. The bridge
acts as a medium to disengage from the outward perceptions of
the world and gradually move to an introspective cocoon.

THE HALL OF SENSES

The Hall of Senses embodies the experience offered by
the city of Kochi. It provides an immersive experience to
the user. A Single entrance evokes a sense of surety as
AIR one enters it. The wall conceals a panoramic view of the
water body with a central waterfall filling the concentric
Outer ring of interwoven Bamboo columns channels around the rain tree. The tree is the main to the
hall as it represents the city’s life encompassed by it as its
leaves invigorate its people.

The brief narrates a facility for the patients undergoing
rehabilitation after a hospital stay or who need extensive
assistance. The care home should fit into the broader role of
healthcare architecture in 21st century India.
CALGIRI MARG
Malaviya Nagar, Jaipur

ABOUT THE SITE

Calgiri Marg connects the site directly to JLN Marg. There
are a number of multispeciality hospitals within the range
of 2km, which can be accessed in case of emergency.
Other basic necessities can also be acquired from adjoin-
ing buildings.
ABOUT THE PROJECT

Aegle Care is a 40-bed care home that falls under the category of
small hospitals and care homes. Its objective is to serve people who
require extensive medical assistance conducting their daily routine
while changing the population’s perception towards healthcare
architecture.

The care home is a sustainability-driven universal design that uses

a patient journey, an overview of the different stages that a patient
experiences during the healing process to provide insight into the
patient’s interactions, emotions, barriers, and other participants.

The facility consists of ICUs, OPDs, various OTs, and shared and pri-
vate rooms with greenscape spread across the structure to provide
a peaceful healing journey for the patients in it.
