II. BACKGROUND/SITUATION ANALYSIS


Internet has given us the opportunity to access quality information for a better education,
however some Barangay Bato youth are not financially capable to grab this opportunity, with this,
the Sanggunian Kabataan will install a 50 mbps Postpaid WiFi located at Barangay Bato Gym, for
a span of 2 years of availability, and then there will be a procedure where users must ask for wifi
password to limit its users to avoid connection problem.

III. PROJECT OBJECTIVES


1. To give free access to the internet for educational purposes.
2. To promote quality education.
3. To support less privileged youth.
4. To break the information barriers between the internet and the people.
5. To serve as a catalyst for a better life in Barangay Bato.

IV. DESIRED IMPACT AND OUTCOME OF THE PROJECT


What are the long term effects of the project?
Barangay Bato will reduce its uneducated youth and will be given a good possibility
of making better lives that will help in leading a positive growth of Barangay Bato.

What are the specific measures to sustain the project?


Barangay bato sk council must maintain the payment for the wifi's monthly bill and
limit users for a fair usage of Wifi.also,Sk council must encourage users to use it for educational
purposes only.

What are linkages with other initiatives or reforms in the sector and other development or
governance concerns?
This project is directly in line with the "Internet For All' thrust identified in the
Philippine Digital Strategy 2011-2016

V. RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN


What are the risks and factors that may hamper or hinder the successful implementation of
project activities and achievement of project outputs?
Multiple factors could affect the stability of the internet connection after the successful
installation—perhaps the uncontrollable weather, the reoccurring issue with the network
provider in their end, and the unforeseeable interruption of electricity.

Limiting the number of users per day could help avoid the slow and inconsistent data
speed, to still preserve the main purpose of free and convenient access to the internet.

VI. PROJECT ORGANIZATION AND STAFFING
