The questions that I would start by asking Jamil are the following:
What kind of business is he operating?
What is his target audience, who is his demographic, what are their interests?
If he is not aware of their interests, we can target test different pages of people who are interested
in certain subjects. For example, if a person is interested in pizzas, we can targeted the audience
by selecting specific pages that have the people that are interested in pizzas. Pages like “pizza
lovers” or “I love pizza page”. We can test out different ads and see which fans under what pages
respond the best.
Once we accumulate a certain amounts of likes or shares, or conversions, we select the audience
and look for a “look alike” audience, which means that it will look at your current fans, copy their
interests, and find other ones who have similar interests. The reason why I would explain this to
the shop owner is to reinforce the idea, that running Facebook ads is easy and will generate them
RESULTS. Because imagine that people who are shop owners, are probably old, which means
that they think Facebook and technology is complicated and won’t help their business. And we
are here just to explain to them that delegating their Facebook activity is the best choice for them.
Furthermore, in the case in which they have accepted the help, we ask them further questions,
like what region is he looking to target? And just ask them the small details of their current
existing customers. If they are business owners they have probably made research on the type of
customers they are getting. Our goal is to simply convert the research they have made of they
customers onto Facebook analytics.
Last part, which is the most self evident part, is to create a catchy advertisement. This part takes
a creative team to figure out how to do. Obviously, it could be a very detailed and creative
advertisement, but it could also be a selfie video of the owner of the restaurant sharing the food
secrets or the history behind their business. The selfie ad video has been successfully used by big
names like Tai Lopez who is a Marketing Guru. He uses very simple selfie videos that explain what
his program is about and shares view on the world. He currently has more awareness that large
companies like Coca Cola all because of the simple ads that he makes.
And that is it, all you need are the following: a catchy or simple video, the right strategy for
targeting people and creating a look alike audience, and a product that is demanded by people.
We can also use psychological tactics like social proof but that is not required to persuade him.
We just need to prove to the person that our firm has the ability to create creative content that will
bring results to the business owner.
What kind of ads does he want,
We have a variety of options he could consider for Facebook ads. As we have previously
discussed, videos is the best option for placement for restaurants or services. However, if the
person is selling shoes or material things, he ought to use carousel or the option that shows the
website of the business. That could be beneficial if you are just selling things. Also, we would
have a description where we would explain what the product is. an example would be:
“are you interested in socks for an affordable price, look no further than ilovesocks.com, we are
giving a discount for 20% off, hurry now or the offer will expire”
Why should he sell on Facebook
The reason why you should use Facebook ads rather than google, is because it is easier to create
rapport with the audience than google. Although you can create a google ads that may get
exposure and great SEO, the problem is that you cannot engage with a potential customer. The
benefit of Facebook is that there is a comment and like bar, if a customer wants more details
about the object that’s being sold, he can just comment and you can engage with his question.
Also using Facebook ads, you can also use the engine to create ads for instagram, where has
google you can just use it for one domain, which means that you get double the exposure for a
fraction of the cost.
