2. Work Activity
Location of Activity (attach sketches as necessary):
LHS (BALL MILL )
ACTIVITIES:-
1) MATERIAL SHIFTING ( ie LOADING AND UNLOADING WORK ) FROM GE LAYDOWN YARD TO LHS AREA
BY USING TRAILLER OR TRACTOR.
2) INSTALLATION OF COMPRESSOR , PNEUMATIC AIRLESS SPRAYER , SPRAY GUN, CONNECTION OF
PAINTING HOSES, AND PNEUMATIC CONNECTION.
3) PAINTING OF STRUCTURAL MEMBER AND DUCTING PIPE AT GROUND LEVEL AND AT HIGHT.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION:
1-SHIFTING OF PAINTING MATERIAL,
1. Paint including High build epoxy and PU container will be shift from GE painting store to LHS area by
using trailer or tractor.
2. Competent supervisor and rigger will be available for loading and unloading work.
3. Paint containers will be covered during shifting to protect from direct sunlight.
2 -INSTALLATION OF COMPRESSOR AND AIRLESS PAINT SPRAYER.
1. Compressor will placed on compacted soil and will be fixed with stationary support to overcome any mis-
happening during running period.
2. All electrical connection will performed by competent and authorize electrical person.
3. All hose connection will be done by competent person.
3 -SURFACE PREPARATION & PAINTING.
1. Before commencing the painting work subsequent activities shall be completed in accordance with
approved drawing and procedure.
2. Necessary staging with working platform in coordination with project safety officer / engineer shall be
made to proceed with painting work in accordance with approved method statement for scaffolding
work
3. The area shall be cleaned after finishing the painting activities.
4. No exterior or exposed painting activities shall be carried out during adverse weather condition such as
rain, dense fog, dust storm or when the relative humidity exceed 85% or the temperature at less than 3

deg Celsius above the dew point, or to damp or to wet surface.
5. Other member or ground will be protected by covering with polythene sheet before commencing painting
activities.
6. The paint container shall be stored in a cool and dry place. All material shall be protected from direct
sunlight and shall be kept in protected vicinity.
7. All empty containers shall be return to GE store.
8. Area under progress with painting activities shall be barricaded and necessary warning sign board shall
be provided as per project safety plan.

6. Special Precautions and Checklist
1. Before starting of work, TBT will be conducted with workmen and ensure consciousness message to be
brought on activity and make- sure mandatory PPE’s must be used at workplace.
2. All the requirements for COVID-19 to be ensured.
3. Daily awareness for COVID-19 will be delivered to all workmen,
4. Sanitizer to be provided at site.
5. Aware frequent hands wash after.
6. Ensure the use of nose mask.
7. POWARA will conduct by team before starting the job
8. Only authorized and competent person shall be involved in the rigging activity.
9. No person shall stand near the load once it is being lifted.
10. Experienced and competent crane operator shall be deployed.
11. Experienced and competent signalman shall be deployed and should be visible to the operators.

12. Proper communication shall be ensured among all the persons involved.
13. PTW shall be got approval before loading and unloading activities.
14. Briefing shall be done for all the workers.
15. RA and MS shall be made aware to all the workers.
16. Adequate PPE’S shall be ensured& provided to all the workmen.
17. Proper guidance shall be provided by the working supervisor & the foreman to the worker.
18. All the electrical and fire hazards shall be discussed to the workers in prior to start of the work.
19. Proper anchoring of belts shall be ensured by the workers to work at height.
20. Emergency preparedness and welfare facilities requirements to be added.
21. Daily housekeeping requirements to be added.
22. Regular monitoring to be ensured by work supervisor & Work to be executed in under strict supervision.
23. No work will be carried out at adverse weather.
24. No work will be done in absence of daylight or good illumination.
25. No work will be carried out in adverse weather condition, all lifting activity to be suspended if wind speed
is >10mps.
26. All temporary electrical connections must be provided through 30mA RCCB only.
