INTRODUCTION

Our enterprise which is called “Nacho Bizness” is a

partnership type of business with creative effort of students who

intend to provide quality simple food products for their target

market which are the students and staff of MCC Annex. Its main

goal is to sell nachos with different kinds of dips, dressings

and fillings that will suit the desired taste of our customers.

Some of these different varieties of nachos that we offer are

classic nachos, cheese nachos, and barbecue-flavoured nachos.

Furthermore, this food cart aims to produce quality snacks that

fit to the available budget of the students while also assuring

the excellence of taste, savour and affordability.

Background of the Study

The idea of putting up a nacho business within the vicinity of

MCC Annex aroused from the observation that the existing

businesses that were established near the area such as the I

Milktea can complement to our product which is the nachos. Also,

we have come up with the idea because we wanted to make our

customers taste not only plain/classic nachos but also nachos

that were inspired from the recipes and specialties of other

countries or places. We also observed that one of the most common

snacks that people buy whenever they want to hang out with their

friends are chips and junk foods because aside from being tasty,

it is also very easy to prepare and can be bought at any sari-

sari store. Because of this observation, we came up with the

thought that we should produce snacks that are cheap, tasty and

easy to prepare.

MARKETING PLAN

Product/Service

The product we want to sell is nachos with different kind of

dips, dressing, and fillings that will suit the desired taste of

our customers. The color, size, shape, and design of our product

are based on the dips, dressings and fillings that customers

would prefer to buy. But we intend to make our product become

more appealing to everyone so that the customers would like it to

buy it. Our brand name is “Nacho Bizness.” We will protect our

product through the first layer which is the grease paper, then

through the second layer that will protect the first layer which

is the box, and third layer that would protect the first and

second layer which is the paper bag. Our packaging cost will be

₱20.00 only. We intend to make it affordable so everyone could

buy it and also we want to make profit.

Placement

We will sell our products, nachos, within the vicinity

outside MCC Annex in Barangay Pingit. However, we will also have

mobile food carts roaming around the town proper to fill up the

days where there are no classes in MCC Annex. Our target

customers are the SHS students and staff of MCC Annex, and the

people living within the neighbourhood of Barangay Pingit,

including the passers-by in the area. We will not use

middlemen/distributors because we are already near the campus

where our target consumers are. Because of this, we decided to

sell our products on our own.

Promotion

The type of promotion that we will be using for our product

is Print advertisement and Sales promotion. We will be giving

away flyers to students, teachers and other staff members to make

our products more known to the people and we will also offer

special promos to customers who will purchase our products for 3

times. Our promo is that if you buy 3 times, you will receive 1

free juice. We will also use posters as a way of promoting our

products. The type of posters that we will make are only printed

on photo papers so the estimated price that we will be spending

are only ₱2,000.00 including the flyers that we will be giving

away to customers. We will also advertise our products through

social media. We do not need to spend any money in advertising

our products through social media.

Price

The selling price of our product is ₱25.00. The price

schemes that we will be using is giving discounts to special

customers such as senior citizens, and having promos on special

events. We will also add more servings to our first five

customers in our grand opening. We will only adopt a retail price

for our products. Our nachos will be sold for ₱25.00. We might

change our price in the long run depending on the price of the

ingredients we will be using. If the price of our raw materials

would increase, we might also increase our selling prices.

Furthermore, if we observed that our customers find it hard to

purchase our products thus creating less demand and profit, we

will find ways to adjust our prices to make it more affordable to

the public. If these occur, the changes in our selling prices

would only range at ₱5.00 increase/decrease more so. For our

selling terms and conditions, we only accept cash and not

instalment since we are only focusing on retails and not

wholesale.

Projected Sales

For the next five years, we assume that our product’s price

would increase. In the first 3 years, it will remain in its

original price which is ₱25. However, we assume that due to

increase in the prices of raw materials throughout the years, the

price of our product will also raise leading to a ₱30 to ₱35

price range.

PRODUCTION AND OPERATIONAL PLAN

Product/s (Services)

1. Nachos - This is our main product. We chose it because it is

very known to be snacks or appetizers that are suited for

any occasion or activity. For this product, we have

different flavours in order to suit the desired preferences

of our customers. We have Classic nachos, Cheese nachos, and

Barbecue-flavoured nachos. All are served from ready-made

nacho chips that are topped with ingredients such as ground

beef, mayonnaise, tomatoes, onions, and lots of grated

cheese. For the size of servings, we have P15, and ₱25 worth

of nachos.

 Blue Lemonade - This is a sweetened beverage that we offer

to our customers to be paired with our main product. This

drink has a distinctive blue color and is created by adding

additional fruit juices, flavours, or food coloring to the

recipe. We also added lemons to make it more fresh, tasty,

and appealing to our customers. Due to its unique and

relaxing color that is not very saturated but relatively

near Mount Carmel College Annex. They decide to buy a lot within

the vicinity and establish their own restaurant namely, Nacho

Bizness. They chose barangay Pingit because it is an area near

schools where lots of students and teachers always look for

snacks or food after their classes. However, if this turns out to

be unsuccessful, the alternative sites will be located at Burgos

Street, in front of Friends Avenue, and at Barangay Buhangin

along the bay walk and at the side of Playa Azul. The advantage

of our first alternative site, which is in Burgos Street, is that

it is also near schools, the municipal plaza, and the church.

With this, we would just need to learn how to market our products

well to these target consumers. Meanwhile, the disadvantage of

this is that it is quite hidden and many people might not

discover our place. On the other hand, for the site at Brgy.

Buhangin, the advantage is that it would be near to another

target market which is the tourists and passers-by in the Sabang

beach. However, the disadvantage is that there are many

competitions near the area because there are lots of restaurants

nearby. The possible obstacles that we might encounter are the

multiple numbers of competitions and price hike on some of our

ingredients.
