Question 2a
At the time of prophet Muhammad in Mecca, the deeds of the people were of bad course.
Muhammad grieved of the deeds of his townsmen. He therefor started to seek for answers and
frequently goes to cave of Hira for meditation and prayers to Allah. One day the angel of Allah
called Jibril appeared to him and revealed his message to the people. At that time Muhammad
was forty years of age. Afterwards he became prophet and messenger of Allah. He started
preaching Islam submission to Allah and against the idols of the Arabians.—10 marks
