I am an Information Technology major at the University of Central Florida. I learned about your
job openings as an entry level Survey CAD Technician in Orlando, FL while I was searching
through Indeed. I am writing this to express my interest in the position as well as provide more
detail on why I would be the best fit for the position. Some of these reasons are my self-
developed skills with CAD, as well as the education I have experienced through technical
programs in high school.
Based on the qualifications provided on Indeed I know that I have the capability to excel in a
position with your company. When I am familiar with the core of the job it takes me very little
time to work out details, as well as new programs or formats. I take my job at Home Depot to be
a very strong example of this as I came into it with very little knowledge of home repair,
plumbing, and woodworking. But within the first week I had already learned the processes and
materials most contractors needed within my department.
Furthermore, my problem-solving skills are something I pride myself on. I compare the most
probable process or design I should use with the materials I have to make the best finished
product I can. I am also very familiar with CAD software, especially AutoCAD as I got certified
with it during my senior year of high school. I then furthered my knowledge with it by creating
designs on my own time for problems I had.

Autodesk Inventor I worked as a plumbing associate at The Home Depot, meaning I guided
CAD customers on how to install appliances, what they will need to install it,
SolidWorks and how to do it. This job made me highly informed on home repairs, and
AutoCAD installation built from previous knowledge. I have familiarized myself with
Adobe Illustrator many different tools and materials while working here. I also acquired
plenty of experience through my customer centric work style.
