To realize the Intended Learning Outcome, work my way through these steps:
1. Visit a school. Look into facilities and support learning areas in the campus,
then in the classroom.
2. Observe and use the checklist as you move around the school premises.
3. Analyze your gathered data about the school environment.
4. Reflect on the characteristics of a school environment that promotes learning.
5. Present your idea of a good school environment through any of these:
a) Descriptive paragraph b) Photo essay
c) Sketch or drawing d) Poem, song or rap
As you move around the campus, observations forms are provided for you to
document your observations. It is advised that you read the entire worksheet before
proceeding to the school site. A good understanding of the activities and tasks to be
accomplished in the activity sheets will yield better learning results.

Jacobo Z. Gonzales Memorial National High school is one of the famous High
schools at Biñan City of Laguna. Jacobo is known as “trade” and having an oval. The
school got a lot of changes and became attractive. There’s a new building to
accommodate all the students when face to face classes resume. Having a water
station where students can drink freely. Enough facilities like laboratories, comfort
rooms, library to sustain the needs and learning of the students. Having a mini park
for the relaxation during break can give attractiveness to the school. The posters at
the corridor seems informative and give awareness for those people who go to
school. Due to the pandemic the floor has a line or circle to maintain a social
distancing. Before entering the school, you need a temperature and write your
information for the contact tracing.
1. How do the school campus and the classroom in particular impact the
learning of the students going to school? What are your conclusions?
Having a good and clean surrounding in the school campus can give
impact on the student’s learning. The school administrator should
create a school that can develop on the student’s skills and interest.
Meeting the needs of the student’s learning can give motivation and
excited for every day they go to school. A school with a safe
1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed?

The purpose of the board display is to disseminate the information to
the students. It could give insight about the topic or issues. Students
can learn through board display. Therefore, they will be aware and
remember what they saw.
2. Did the board display design reflect the likes/interests of its target audience? Why?
Why not?
Yes, the designed reflects to the interest of the student because of the
designs and having a fun fact about the topics. The board display was
full of images that the students wanted rather than a full of text board
display.
3. Was the language used clear and simple for the target audience to understand?
Why? Why not?
The language is clear, simple where students could easily understand
4. Was the board display effective? Why? Why not?
Yes board displays are effective because it gives a new information to the
students to be engage and have awareness to their environment. Different kinds of
designs of board display can caught attention of the students

Remembering the sequencing of past events
Best features of my Proposed bulletin enhancement:
I used an Instagram template to catch the attention of the viewers. It is
common to use bright colors designs like colored papers, bond paper. That’s
why I suggest a creative way to have a good bulletin board.
Materials for aesthetic enhancement:
I use Canva to make a board display. There’s a lot of application to use and it’s
free.
1.Name at least five skills that a teacher should have to be able to come up with
effective board displays. Elaborate on why each skill is needed.
Creative: A teacher should be creative in terms of teaching strategies and activities
to get the interest of the students.
Critical thinking- The teacher must have these skills to analyze, evaluate on the
concept of the topic
Adaptability- In this modern, digital age teachers need to be flexible and able to
adapt to whatever their thrown way.
Empathy: If the teacher has a skill of this towards to students, they will learn to
handle emotions and compassionate towards each other.
2.Which of the skills you named in # I do you already have? Recall your past
experiences in making board displays. How do you practice these skills?
The skills that I already have among the mentioned skills on number 1
are being creative, empathy and have critical thinking skills and
organizational skills. I can analyze and evaluate information to be
posted so that the design be relative to it
and lastly is the organizational skill, I can
group and arrange information in a most
possible and meaningful way.
Decorative- were not talking about extravagant decorations, we are talking about
decorations that are appropriate to the school

Motivational- as have I mention school environment must be conducive for learning,
conducive for learners as well. Having several corners for the students like library for
the students must have a focused-on group discussion, there are already institution
ins school and international motivational when you are group with your friends.
Informational: School must have bulletin Boards it has to presents the Vision,

of the school, that is where curriculum is rooted on that philosophy. It must be
informational, must contain necessary information which is the VMGO, the

them.
REFLECT
1.While you were observing the learners, did you recall your own experiences
when you were their age? What similarities or differences do you have with the
learners you observed?
When I observe these students, I see a younger version of myself. When I was in
class, I was just like any other preschooler: lively and cheerful. I enjoy being the
focus of attention at all times. But I prefer to play alone most of the time and never
want to play with others. As I progress in class, I begin to enjoy conversing with
others, discussing my interests, and telling them about my wildest fantasies. When
someone harassed or bullied me in elementary school, I only had a few colleagues
who made me feel better. At the time, I was a crybaby. Disappointments were too
much for me. My social skills aren't good enough, despite the fact that I've always
been a high achiever. I was impenetrable.
2.Think of a teacher you cannot forget for positive or negative reasons. How
did she/he help or not help you with your needs (physical, emotional, social
and cognitive? How did it affect you?
As I previously stated, I had a small circle of friends. And this is something that
irritates my Grade 6 teacher, because I am not a happy person. She frequently
advises me to make friends and treat others with respect. I'm not harsh, but I was
incredibly difficult to approach at the time. My teacher informed my brother, who
went out of his way to make me feel at ease around others. And it was because of
her that I began to make new friends and feel at ease among people.
The learner’s differences and the type of interaction they bring surely affect the
quality of teaching and learning. This activity is about observing and gathering data
to find out how its student diversity affects learning.
To realize the Intended Learning Outcomes, where you're always through these
steps:
Step 1. Observed a class in different parts of his school day. (Beginning of
the day, class time, recess, etc.)
Step 2. Describe the characteristics of the learners in terms of age, gender,
and social and cultural diversity.
Step 3. Describe the interaction that transpired inside and outside the
classroom.
Step 4. Interview the resource teacher about the principles and practices
that she uses in dealing with diversity in the classroom.
Step 5. Analyze the impact of individual differences on learners’ interactions.
The observation form is provided for me to document my observations.
During Class:
The class is competitive, the smart students compete which answer is the most
valid and correct answer. While the others just wait until they are done. Some of
the students answer, but some don’t, but they just raise up and the teacher help
them answer. The teacher obviously calls out the students behind because she
knows that these kids are not paying attention.
ANALYZE
1. Identify the persons who play key roles in their relationships and
interactions in the classrooms. What roles do they play? Is there somebody
who appears to be the leader, a mascot/joker, an attention seeker, a little
teacher, a doubter/pessimist?
There was a joker in the class who’s always kidding and joking. There was also a
student who acts as the secretary of class even though she’s really not. The teacher
always assigns her secretary for the attendance of the class
What makes the learners assume these roles? What factors affect their
behavior?
What influences them to assume these roles are their peers, their belief that they
would be better to be this way, people’s reaction that somehow satisfy them and
their teachers’ meaningful feedback.
2.Is there anyone you observe who appear left out? Are you students who
appear “different”? Why do they appear different? Are they accepted or
rejected by the others? How is this shown?
There was no student who I’ve observe being left out or different. The students celebrate
differences and create bond with each other.
3.How does the teacher influence the class interaction considering the
individual differences of the students?
The teacher influences the students to be supportive of each other and to respect
each other’s’ differences by being mindful and careful of their words, and to be
available for each other as friends who are willing to help and be their emotional
support. In addition, the teacher encourages the students accept and appreciate
each other’s opinion and belief about a certain matter, as well as their interest,
hobbies and preferences.
4.What strategies does the teacher use to maximize the benefits of diversity in
the classroom? How does the teacher leverage diversity?
The teacher makes sure that she is aware of students’ individual differences through
understanding their backgrounds, learning styles, hobbies and interest. The teacher
establishes friendly relationship with her students and encouraging them to be open
for communication while fostering respect in the classroom by letting them to talk
about their cultural backgrounds.
REFLECT
How did you feel being in that classroom? Did you feel a sense of
oneness or unity among the learners and between the teacher and the
learner?
As I was observing the classroom, although the students are individually different
from each other, their unity regarding acceptance and appreciation of each other had
made me feel comfortable. How the teacher manages diversity in the classroom is a
sign that she is very effective in developing teaching strategies that promotes
awareness and creating connection with diverse cultures. Evidently, the students are
empathetic and open-minded about diverse backgrounds which helped them
understand each other well. Students demonstrating confidence and independence
in the class is also a sign that the teacher is effective in fostering cultural sensitivity
in the classroom. The way they care for each other and how openly they
communicate with their teacher and how they become united in collaboration
activities made me feel a sense of oneness in the classroom.
Observe the teacher’s method in addressing the individual learning needs of the
students in his/her class
OBSERVATION REPORT
Name of the School Observed: JZGMNHS
School Address: Romana Subd., San Antonio, Binan Laguna
Date of Visit: January 6, 2022
The class used google classroom as their platform to conduct a class. As I
observed their topic is about the religion in Asia. One group discuss the Indian
religion, the beliefs, proponents and traditions. Group members read only the slides
without explanations. Their advice tries to discuss and explain their report. She used
tiktok videos and YouTube for the explanations. After explaining the lesson, she
conducts a recitation to her class. Students are participating and got additional points
for their grades. Students are attentive and answered questions correctly. Interview
to the teacher: The lesson earlier is all about religions in Asia. We know that they
have different beliefs, culture o traditions. Ms. Elegado pointed out the word
“RESPECT” and knowing your boundaries about the religion. When they tour
together with her best friend, her best friend waited her if she wants to pray in
catholic church and vice versa. She said also that you can share about your religion
but don’t force your beliefs for them.
If you are watching videos you searched, instead of actually visiting a school,
have these question in mind as you are watching the videos. You can try to get
in touch with the creator of the videos and interview them too.
1. Before you observe, read about the specific IP group in the school you will
visit. Know their norms and customary greetings. This will help you blend in
the school community and interact with respect.
2. Observe and note the different parts or areas of the school environment. How
are learning spaces arranged?
3. What activities do they do in these different areas of the school?
4. Who are the people who manage the school? Who are involved in teaching
the learners?
5. Observe how the teaching-learning process happen. Describe the learning
activities they have and the teaching strategies that the teacher uses.
6. Describe the interaction that is taking place between the teacher and learners,
among the teachers, and in the school in general.
7. What instructional materials and learning resources are they using?
8. Interview the teacher or principal about the curriculum. Find out the curriculum
goals. You can use the questions found on the Analysis part of this activity.

Teacher Kristel are in charge teachers in Sitio Labo Elementary school. They saw
the needs of the Mangyans in life. Although they are lacking in teaching materials
they still provide for the Mangyans
ANALYZE
What do you think can still be done to promote and uphold the indigenous
people’s knowledge systems and practices and rights in schools?
Based on what I have gathered from the video of Mangyan students, the
following are my suggestions regarding the knowledge systems and practices
and rights of indigenous peoples in the Sitio Labo
The DepEd Division of Mindoro must ensure that the IPED curriculum is
distributed in the mountain schools including those schools that are
exclusively for IP students.
The DepEd Division of Mindoro must arrange effective strategies for teachers
who are struggle travelling from their houses to the mountain schools without
sacrificing the contact hours of students with their teachers.
The DepEd Division Mindoro of should hire more teachers to teach in
indigenous people and provide them appropriate compensation.
The DepEd Division of Mindoro must provide modern instructional materials
for the teachers to use and learners’ materials such as textbooks.
The curriculum for indigenous framework should emphasize valuing of culture
and tradition of the indigenous peoples through integrating real-life concepts
in each lesson.
REFLECT
Reflect based on your actual visit or videos that you have watched.
1. What new things did you learn about indigenous people?
2. What did you appreciate most from you experience in visiting the school
with indigenous? Why?
I admire the teachers who are pursuing and staying to indigenous people.
Even they got promotion, still they stick and change their mind
because they know that these people needed them.
I have observed 5 sections of grade 7 students through online, their age range
from 13-14 years old. The students still needed a guidance and support from their
parents and teachers. Having eagerness to learn, giving their best though the class
was conducted through online. In 5 sections, there 71 boys and 81 girls. I can say
that, students can work independently though the class is still online. Through
discussion, some of the students are attentive and participating in recitation. Some
are you need to call by their names to get their attention and answering the
questions.
ANALYZE
Analyze and answer these questions on observed classroom management practices.
It is also good to ask the teacher for additional information, so you can validate your
observation. Write your notes below; organize your data in the Table that follows.
1. Are these areas in the classroom for specific (storage of teaching aids,
books, student’s belongings, supplies, etc.)? Describe these areas. Will it
make a difference if these areas for specific purpose are not present?
2. Are there rules and procedures posted in the room? List them down. Do
these rules reinforce positive behavior?
3. Did the students participate in making the classroom rules? If the
Resource Teacher is available, ask him/her to describe the process.
What’s the effect of students’ participation in rule-making on students’
behavior?

6. Observe the noise level in the classroom. How is this managed?
7. If a learner is not following instructions or is off-task, what does the
Resource Teacher do? Describe the behavior strategies used.
8. What does the Resource Teacher do to reinforce positive behaviors?
(Behavior strategies)
REFLECT
Reflect as a future teacher.
Why do you need to enforce positive discipline?
School must be a melting pot, different students, abilities, beliefs culture. We
didn’t know what the conditions or rules in their house are. In school, considered as
2nd home of the students, we need to enforce a positive discipline. Schools is not
only promoting intelligence, but also a rules and discipline that can help the students
to grow as a person. Molding the child cognitively but holistically. Establishing
positive discipline will carry when they are working. A simple greeting practice inside
the class can be bring while they were working. Students allow certain feeling of
involvement in a community.

ANALYZE
1.How did the classroom organization and routines affect the learner’s behavior?
The classroom organization and routines affect the learner’s behavior, when the
students feel that she/he grows in that place. Involving the students in the design of
the rules of procedures, like consulting to the students what are the rules they
wanted. Then they are obligated to follow that direction that they created
2. What should the teacher have in mind when he/she designs the classroom
organization and routines? What theories and principles should you have in mind?
The teacher when designing the classroom organization should set the guidelines
and procedures. Should set or align to the school’s Vision, Mission, Goals and
Objectives. Entering the class of the students, teacher’s classroom organization
3. Which behavior strategies were effective in managing the behavior of the learners?
In motivating students? Why were they effective?
2. Make a list of the rules you are likely to implement in this level. Why would you
choose these rules?
Be on time- Helping them to realize the importance of being punctual
Follow the rules- Reminding them to follow the rules
No eating while the class is ongoing- disrespectful to the part of the teacher
Ask questions-Normalizing asking questions after the discussion
3.Should learners be involved in making the class rules? Why?
Ensuring that they are part of the rules and regulations and feel that they grow on
that school . Establish a rules that will carry when they are working. School are not
only promoting intellectually, but we want holistically learner in the 21sr century.
ANALYZE
Analyze the routines set by the Resource Teacher by answering the following
questions.
1. Were the routines effective in ensuring discipline and order in the class? Why?
Why not?
Yes, it is effective for the students. It’s getting smoother and allow the student to be
conditioned to the routine you do. By doing that so the students will always be
reminded what to do in the everyday class. It also helps the students being
disciplined and being order towards their education though sometimes there are
lapses.
2. Which of those routines were systematic and consistently implemented? Explain
your answer
There a different strategies to implement this and follow by the students. Prayer
is the most important in the basic education, picking small pieces under the table and
greetings. The routines that were systematic and consistently observed or
implemented are the transition of activities, submission of materials, submission of
projects, asking for assistance, joining class activities,It is a simple practice inside
the classroom that the students can carry outside the schools.
REFLECT
Reflect on the various routines observed.
1. Which of the routines will you most likely apply in your class? Why? Why not?
In fact, almost every routine is observed in our class. Only working as a grouped is
most observed, college life is better and directed towards understanding subjects
ANALYZE
Analyze each given rule.
REFLECT
Reflect on the various classroom rules set by the Resource Teacher.
Will you have the same rules? If not, what rules are you going to employ? Explain
your answer.
I can establish my own instructions. First, gaining their attention by greetings. Next,
recall the discussions before the objectives. Presenting my materials or visual aids.
Provided guiding learning, elicit performance, and providing feedback. All over my
schooling life, almost all the rules that I’ve encountered are always the same and for
me I will have the rules as my teachers does. It only differs on the implementation of
the rules. If the rules are well implemented, the rules will be followed very well and if
not the other way around.

LEARNING EPISODE 7:PHYSICAL AND PERSONAL ASPECTS OF
CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
ANALYZE
Analyze the different elements of personal/physical classroom
management and answer the following question.
1. How does the voice of the teacher affect classroom instruction?
We don’t like high pitch and low pitch voice when we are teaching. We wan a
voice that is modulated that is heard at the back. It is difficult for teachers with
hundreds of students per class. that’s why we need to be consider for the teachers.
Teachers need to take care of their voice because it is the foundation of their work.
2. How does the punctuality of the teacher affect classroom discipline?
As a teacher, you should be punctual. Be on time in the school. If the teacher is
absent, prepare a valid reason because it will affect the students who you handle.
3.Why do we need to check on the physical aspects of classroom management?
Remember that the school is consider as the 2nd home of the learner. Establish
manners to keep clean and organize. They will be used it in their home.
REFLECT
Reflect on the aspects of personal and classroom management.
What does this statement mean to you as a future teacher? Explain.
“No amount of good instruction will come out without effective classroom
management.”
This statement means that, I should allow the learner to be conditioned to the routine
I do. Different strategies like prayer should be there. It is important in Basic
Education. Picking up the small pieces under your chair a usual routine. Establishing
routine, become smoother because the classroom routines are in conditioned. If a
teacher in a certain classroom doesn't know how to effectively manage a classroom,
then he/she will also not be able to formulate and give any good instruction that
sometimes leads to the failure of the students to learn.
What are your plans in ensuring effective classroom management?
Having an effective classroom management starts with the implement or of rules in
the classroom. So, to ensure that you need to be a good role model to all and be
virtuous in all aspects.
ANALYZE
Analyze the checklist you have accomplished and answer the given questions.
1. How many strategies were employed by the Resource Teacher? Did these
contribute to better classroom management?
The Resource teacher employed 1 strategy only which is discussion. Due to
pandemic, all classes was conducted through online and only limited for 1hr class.
2.What were not used by the Resource Teacher? Were these important? What
should have been used instead? Explain.
The traditional classroom management were not used because of the virtual class.
Resource teacher must use a ice breaker to get the attention and interest of the
students.
REFLECT
As a future teacher, reflect on the observations then answer the given
question.
1.What classroom management strategies do I need to employ to respond to
diverse types of learners?
Student must feel that he/she belong to the classroom. Don’t discriminate out
students based on their race, gender, or socioeconomic background. Education is a
great equalizer, once a student enter inside the classroom, he/she must not feel
oppressed. But must feel the atmosphere of growth.

CURRICULUM
OBSERVE, ANALYZE, REFLECT
Activity 8.1 Curricula in the setting
It’s time to look around. Discover what curriculum is operating in the school
setting. Recall the types of curriculum mentioned earlier. Can you spot where these
found? Let’s do a hunting.
OBSERVE
Resource Teacher: Ms. Arcelyne Grace Elegado Teacher’s Signature:
School: JZGMNHS Year Level: Grade 7 Subject Area: Araling Panlipunan
Locate where you can find the following curriculum in the school setting. Secure a
copy, make observations of the process and record your information in the matrix
below. Describe your observations.
ANALYZE
Which of the seven types curriculum in the school setting is easy to find?
Which is difficult to observe? Why?
Are these all found in the school setting? How do curricula relate to one another?
All of them are found in the school setting, and
the supported curriculum is easily found among
the seven types of curriculum in the school. Many
resources are now available and can be found on
the internet. There are numerous websites where
we can obtain information, but we must exercise
caution in order to identify false information. When
searching for information, always include the
references. Is it difficult to observe is the hidden
curriculum, it is unintended to find and we cannot
measure this curriculum.
Because it is designed by professionals for our
teachers and students, seven types of curriculum
are related to one another. Professionals seek information in order to plan the
curriculum, teachers carry out the teachings and learning outcomes, and students
apply what they have learned in real life.

REFLECT
Make a reflection on the diagram that you have drawn.
Curriculum, in my opinion, is the whole picture of education. It includes the
teaching philosophy of a school and a teacher, the way the subject is taught in the
classroom, the supplements used in assistance of teaching, the attitudes the school,
the teachers and the administrators bring to the table, and the knowledge of the
subject areas in the minds of the teachers. Curriculum can also be described as “a
desired goal or set of values that can be activated through a development process
culminating in experiences for students” or as “the planned and guided learning
experience and intended outcomes, formulated through systematic reconstruction f
knowledge and experience, under the auspices of the school, for the learners’
continuous and willful growth in personal-social competence.
Curriculum includes what our standards of learning are, and the models by
which the teachers facilitate the learning of those standards in the classroom. Some
definitions of curriculum are very direct and small, as seen above, but I believe that
curriculum must include every aspect of education at some point in its definition
because it does cover the very broad spectrum in educating people.
OBSERVE
This activity requires a full lesson observation from Motivation to Assessment.
Procedure:
1.Secure permit to observe one complete lesson in a particular subject, in a
particular grade/ year level.
2.Keep a close watch on the different components of the miniscule curriculum: the
lesson
3. Follow the three major components of a curriculum (Planning, Implementing and
Evaluating, Assessing). Observe and record your observation.
REFLECT
Based on your observations and tasks in Activity 2 how will you prepare your lesson
plan? Make a short paragraph on the topic.
How do I write a lesson plan?
Stage 1: The starting point for any lesson plan must be, ‘What do I want learners to
learn?
If you begin by answering that question, and call your answer a ‘Learning Objective’,
then your planning will stay focused.
Stage 2: Your course documents will include a standard format for writing lesson
plans.Your school will have its own version, not necessarily the same
Stage 3 : Assessment: How will you know that any learning has taken place. You
can’t just assume it, so you must at some point, or points, during the lesson build in
opportunity to check students understanding.
