COST ANALYSIS AND STRUCTURAL ASSESSMENT
Before conducting the simple cost analysis, the roofing materials should be calculated
and estimated first to be able to include it into the cost production of the chosen residential
house.
I. ROOFING MATERIALS
ROOF AREA
Overall residential house area: 16 m x 2.6 m = 41.6 m2
Assuming that the roof pitch is 60 degrees.
41.6
Roof Area =
cos [60 ]
Roof Area = 83.2 m2
Tile Span Roof Type will be used for the roof.
Detailed plan for the Truss is presented on the next page
II. CONCRETE MIXTURE FOR FLOORING IN FIRST AND SECOND
FLOOR
Since the concrete mixture for the flooring was not included in the estimated
mixtures in the last part:
FIRST FLOOR
TOTAL TOTAL TOTAL VOLUME TOTAL VOLUME
ELEVATION
LENGTH WIDTH (cu.mm) (cu.m)
16000 2600 800 3328000000 3.328
Volume of flooring = 3.328 m3
Cement (40 kg Class C): 3.328 m3x 6.0 = 19.968 bags ≈ 20 bags
Sand: 6.174 m3x 0.50 = 3.087 cu.m
Gravel: 6.174 m3x 1.0 = 6.174 cu.m
COST ANALYSIS
For the sake of convenience and accuracy, Microsoft Excel was used in
calculating the cost per raw material to be used in the structure.
The price list is tabulated and enumerated as follows:

Materials Prices (PhilCon) which was updated last August 2020. Prices may vary in some
other in-store purchases.
The number of quantities from pervious laboratory exercise, plus the estimated
roofing materials calculated, the summary of the materials is enumerated and tabulated as

The above estimated grand total cost of residential structural house is approximately ₱230,000.00, which is really close to reality since this only
comprises the main structures of the greenhouse. The cost estimation is justifiable, because taking into consideration that the house area is 41 sq.m
