Instructions from the Doctors:


1. This is the second assignment, the deadline for this
assignment is next on Sunday 27th
Nov 2022 @ 11:59 PM.

3. For each student, there will be only one submission,

grade for this student will be zero.
This Assignment consists of two parts Part 1 will be
submitted in the google form as a pdf file of your
scanned answers. Part 2 is MCQ will be submitted by
filling out choices in the google form. Deadline is on

scanned detailed answers to google class as pdf file-
The first page of the pdf should contain your Name,

Q1: study of long-distance phone calls made from
General Electric Corporate Headquarters in Fairfield,
Connecticut, revealed the length of the calls, in minutes,
follows the normal probability distribution. The mean
length of time per call was 4.2 minutes and the standard
deviation was 0.60 minute.
a. What is the probability that calls last between 4.2 and
5 minutes?
b. What is the probability that calls last more than 5
minutes?
c. As part of her report to the president, the director of
communications would like to report the length of the
longest (in duration) 4% of the calls. What is this time?

Q2: At the downtown office of First National Bank, there are


five tellers. Last week, the tellers made the following number
of errors each: 2, 3, 5, 3, and 5.
a. How many different samples of two tellers are possible?
b. List all possible samples of size 2 and compute the mean
of each.
c. Compute the mean of the sample means and compare it
to the population mean
