Online Training Programme for AI Teachers under
‘The Global Teachers Academy for Digital Technologies’
‘The Global Teachers Academy for Digital Technologies’ is an initiative by CBSE in collaboration with IBM to
evangelize digital technologies among teachers of CBSE affiliated schools. This initiative envisions to be
recognized as the globally acknowledged academy, creating Technology Mentors on 21st Century Digital
Technologies at K-12 school level beginning with Artificial Intelligence (AI). As part of the AI training
programme for teachers, the academy aims to create a group of AI Teacher Educators and Mentors from
CBSE affiliated schools who can catalyze AI Education in schools and create Technology Practitioners at
School level who shall disseminate 21st Century Technologies among school students.
As part of this initiative, 200 Computer Science/ AI/ IT teachers from across CBSE schools shall be trained as
‘AI Teacher Educators’ to teach AI foundations to students and also mentor them for their AI based
projects. This training programme shall be a combination of live sessions by Senior Master Trainers (who
are practicing Teachers and Professors), hands-on sessions and self-based certification courses. All the
teachers completing the programme will be provided with IBM Professional Badges.
This four-week Certification Programme will commence from 26th April 2021. Computer Science/ AI/ IT
teachers can register themselves for this programme using below-mentioned link before 25th April 2021:

Further, these 200 trained ‘AI Teacher Educators’ will train 10,000 school teachers (50 each), within the
next 6 months, with the support of CBSE and IBM. Upon successful completion of training of the teachers,
the ‘AI Teacher Educators’ shall be eligible for Special Appreciation Certificates by CBSE and IBM.
