I use research skills to achieve my learning goal because I had to learn how to construct and run
a business, it also helped me analyze similar businesses to see whether it is a good business
opportunity and that I'm not wasting my time. I defined interpret and judge information to help
me learn what's a business plan is, how to create one, What it should contain, how to set up a
business, how to advertise and many more things.

I found the source from a Google search on how to advertise business to a wide audience. The
information in this blog was published on September 11th 2022. The lady who published this
blog is named Kristen McCormick. Kristen is a senior managing editor at a company called
WordStream. She is specialized in helping businesses discover online marketing and advertising
she also specializes in copywriting and SEO. the purpose of this information was to teach the
audience how they can advertise online and discovering how to promote the business. The
opinions in this blog are based on experience. this source was useful in teaching me how to

The source I found was from a Google search and it was on how to start a business and make a
business plan. The company that published this article is called US small business administration
and is instructs you how you can create a business plan in 10 steps. The purpose of this article is
very clear and elaborates on each step. This source is useful as part of my learning goal is to
create a business plan and this helps me achieve that and learn about it. This is a government
website so it is very reliable. I can cross reference this information from another source easily

Applying the Self-Management ATL Skills to Achieve the Product Goal

Example 1: Action Plan

In Criterion A of my personal project, I decided to create an action plan. This assisted greatly
with self-management as it allowed me to organize what I need to do for my project and how
much work I need to do. The action plan helped me breakdown bigger tasks into smaller pieces.
This would allow me to finish small pieces of my personal project every week so that I can stay
on top of my work and meet deadlines. This also helped me with staying organized so that I
know what I need to do. This helped motivate me and allowed me to finish small pieces of the
project to build up big criteria. I created my action plan by finding out everything I need to do to
finish my personal project and then I found out all the small things that make up the parts of
personal project and I built a schedule deciding what I'm going to do every week. This ATL skill
helped achieve my specific product goal because it showed me what parts I need to finish and
help me set deadlines for myself, this helped when making sure I was on top of everything.

To come up with my action plan, I started out with my success criteria and the parts I was
planning to include in my project. I also looked at the deadlines from the school related to
different required submissions of different sections of the project. The timeline for the personal
project given by the school affected how I divided up my project tasks. My objective was to
finish each task before the due date so that I would have more time to perfect it and make final
improvements. My action plan includes the separate smaller sections of the business plan and a
list of smaller tasks for the digital model of the Airsoft Arena. Based on how many tasks I must
complete, I decided to spread them out so that I would get around 2 tasks done each week.
Since I wrote down in my success criteria what each section of the business plan would need to
include, this helped me figure out approximately how long I would need to spend on each task.
