1. This approval relates to the use of the above doorsets in providing a fire resistance of up
to 240 minutes integrity, as defined in BS EN 1634-1: 2014 and BS 476: Part 22: 1987.
2. This certification is provided to the client for their own purposes and we cannot opine on
whether it will be accepted by Building Control authorities or any other third parties for
any purpose.
3. The doors are approved on the basis of:
i) Initial type testing.
ii) A design appraisal against TS12.
iii) Certification of quality management system.
iv) Inspection and surveillance of factory production control
v) Audit testing
4. The doorsets comprise door leaves with metallic leaves, for use with metallic frames.
5. This approval is applicable to complete doorsets only.
6. This approval is applicable to paper honeycomb cored, single-acting, single and double-
leaf, stainless steel doorsets, at leaf dimensions up to those given in Tables 1 and 2.
7. Hardware items, including closing devices, shall be CERTIFIRE approved or otherwise
as specified in the data sheet.
8. The doorsets shall be mechanically fixed to wall constructions having a fire resistance of
at least the same period as the doorset.
9. The optional use of the “RIMEX Linen” patterned steel door leaf, frame and glazing
beads shall be of the same stainless steel grade as the approved doorsets included
within this certificate of approval.
10. This certificate does not include any approval relating to the mechanical requirements of
the doorsets specified in TS 12.
