Streetlights in crime prevention. As perceived by the barangay officials in

Ho. Streetlights prevents and reduce opportunity in crime and accident especially
on night time such as kidnapping, Holdup, Rape, Salvage And Traffic collision

SCOPE AND LIMITATION OF THE STUDY

This study focused on the level of Effectiveness of street light in crime


prevention. This study manage from how effectiveness of Streetlights in
crime prevention programs as perceived by the Barangay officials in the
Municipality of Santiago from 2020-2021

Definition of Terms

Crime prevention - In this study this words is defined as a strategies to


reduce the crime rates, like installing streetlights they prevent crime by
illuminating the road

Crime Reduction - In this study this word is use to defined as the cause of
making the rates of crime decrease when they use streetlights after on the
street

Educational Attainment - In this study this word is use to defined as the

Effectiveness - In this study this word is defined as a result or positive


outcomes in streetlights interms of security and safety of the community
during night hours

Length of service - This word is use to know the year that he/she has being
on a service in the Barangay

Lightning Interventions - Im this study this word defined as a way which


streetlight is being part of making the street feel more secured in night

Position - In this study the word is defined as what position he/she in the
barangay is in whether its Barangay Captain, Kagawad, Secretary and Sk etc..

Promote Security - In this study this word is used to defined as applying or


putting streetlight in an Urban or places to feel more free when going
outside at night
Street light - In this study this word is defined as a light that illuminate the
road or streets, in order to ensure safety
