NARRATIVE REPORT ON SCHOOL CONCERNS OF GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

Textbooks creates learning significant when its purpose to facilitate the learners become more relevant to their
growth and development in the learning process. On the other hand, teachers as well get more involved when the
textbooks utilized provides interconnectedness on the school curriculum toward its objectives, implementation and
evaluation. The success of the utilization of the textbooks greatly determines the feedback of the learning performance
of the students on how those materials used in the process encouraged the students to achieve the behavior or learning
outcomes that are indicated in the learning objectives and providing reinforcement to the improving students.

However, learning resources of Balagan Integrated School for the past 6 years are not yet completed most
specially in the High School Department there is no issue from the government since they were started last June 2019.
Some of the challenges facing lack of learning materials are Inadequate technology infrastructure, Budget constraints,
Training skills are not provided to teaching staff and Lack of learning Curriculum developers.

As the time goes our enrollees are decreasing and the teachers too, In the past years Balagan Integrated school
is headed by a head teacher III in two succeeding terms but this year we are so lucky to have full fledge Principal 1 with a
Master teacher.

Balagan Integrated School has old school building majority are now occupied by grade 1 to grade 5, 7 and grade
8 while The Other 2 buildings are occupied by Kinder and Grade 5 every classroom suitably structured and decorated for
learners. Cleanliness of classroom maintained at all times. School building of high School is ongoing construction through
Bayanihan project. Chairs and tables including televisions are completed in the Elementary level. School Purchased 81
armchairs for Grade 7, 8 and 10 through MOOE but still there is shortage of chairs among high School learners.

Moreover clean water, functional toilets, wash stands are presents in our school for almost two years in
elementary but in School there is only one Hand Washing stand, The aim of this is to promote a clean and safe school
environment as well as proper hygiene and sanitation practice among students.

Thus, School has different activities and problems related to several areas. Quick decision and logical decision is
for the administration and management of the school. A definite process should be adopted for taking this decision,
consultation, proposal, discussion, suggestions, implementation of the decision. A committee may be formed to look
after the school.
