I. Objectives
At the end of this lesson, 90% of the pupils must be able to:
a. identify the distinct characteristics of a vertebrae and invertebrate animals;
b. distinguish different groups under these two categories of organisms, and;
c. organize animals organisms if these are vertebrae or invertebrate.

A. Pre-task
1. Introduction
Activity: “YOUTUBE VIDEO PRESENTATION”
Directions: The students will be watching a video about today’s topic. They’ll be identifying
the terms that categorize the animals in our environment.
Questions to ponder: 
1. What are the terms that you have encountered?
2. How do we characterize vertebrae animals?
3. How about invertebrates?

2. Creative Entry Point


Activity: “SCIENCE EXPLORE”
Directions: The teacher will be presenting the book activity on the student’s screen so that
everyone will be able to answer all at once. They’ll be distinguishing the animals based on the
requirements being asked in the activity

Quarter 2
Questions to ponder: 
1. What do you think are the animals that we can consider as vertebrates?
2. How about invertebrates?
