FRONT LOWER STRUCTURE
Front side member, front section: General description 41A
Replacement of this part is an additional operation to Replacement along cut A
an operation on the radiator cross member support for
a frontal impact.

There are two possible methods for this operation:

- partial replacement along cut A,

- partial replacement along cut B,

Note:
The repair bench must be used unless performing a
partial replacement along cut A.

The procedure described below contains only the spe-

cial features of the cuts.

Information on any additional parts will be provided in

the respective sections (see Contents).

COMPOSITION OF THE SPARE PART

The spare part is assembled with:

Note:
- Side member reinforcement, This operation may be carried out without using the
repair bench.
- Engine pad support height adjuster,
The front end lower cross member may be used as
- Welded spacer, a gauge to align the replaced section.
- Welded bracket, The cut is made in area (X1) , but must under no
circumstances be made on a pilot hole or in a crum-
- Cup height adjuster bracket (left-hand side), ple zone.
- Mounting pads (left-hand side).

Front side member, front section: General description 41A
Note:
The cut is made in area (X2) .
The cut may be made under the engine mounting
stiffener, however in this case it must be detached
to facilitate the operation. It is recommended to
order a new stiffener in this case.

The stiffener is plug welded onto the side member.
