INTRODUCTION

Competing in today's global market is becoming difficult from time to time.


Directing a store's retail environment towards a memorable customer
experience by appealing to customers' senses, emotions and values may
therefore seem a valuable approach for differentiating a retail store from
competitors. Retail environmental design is actually a crucial aspect in retail
management, but it still is an emerging discipline in the field of interior design,
which focused on studying the relationship between the environment and
human behavior.

Today's retail environments enable consumers to experience the pleasure


in aspect of consumption. Retailers are finding new ways to offer customers
something unique or special in order to encourage visit to physical stores. People
like to touch, feel, smell, taste, inspect, test and try on. It is an overall approach
that involves both emotional and rational triggers. A good retail environment has
a potential to create a memorable visual and physical experience among
customers. This includes everything from store design, customer engagement
activities and the way products are presented for display and consideration.

In order to assist the owner of JC Fashion Shoe with the ordering system,
this research will create a web-based system.

Statement of the Problem Domain

Some of footwear retail stores are still unable to provide an ideal retail
environment for their customer's shopping experience and pleasure. They tend
to focus only on the marketing and sales of their products. Thus, making them
less perceived from the other competitors.

Goals and Objectives of the Project

This project generally aims to design and develop a system entitled JC


Fashion Shoe. This study lays out a framework for a new system to be developed
and brought to the business to manage shoes to sell online and monitor their

sales daily, weekly, monthly and annually. The following are the objectives this
would bring:

Specifically, this study aims to:

1. Provide an avenue where customers will be able to gather more


reliable information about what the shoes retail business really does.
2. Automate customer’s information, order information and delivery
schedules.
3. Develop a functional and efficient online shoe ordering system.
4. Design a dashboard for income performance monitoring
5. Generate graphical data analysis of income daily, weekly, monthly and
annually.
6. Generate reports such as; list of customers, list of orders, list of
delivery schedules, order receipt and income report.

Significance of the Project

In view of the rapid development of information systems in almost all the


fields of operation and its use in relation to data management and monitoring, it
has become important to look into the development of online shoes ordering
system for firms to meetup with demands of the customers. Therefore, the shoes
ordering and delivery system will help customers and management to:

1. Advertise available shoes in their business


2. Reduce the workload in the present system
3. Reduce time wasted in data processing
4. Create a platform for online purchase and delivery of shoes
5. Keep accurate record on shoes order and delivery

Scope of the Project

In this project, a retail shoes business is designed and is taken as a case


study to enable customers order for shoes and get it delivered accordingly and
also to reduce the long queues of customers at the counter ordering for shoes
and to reduce the workload on the employees. The following things are among
other things that are discussed and what the new system would handle:

1. About the retail shoes business


2. The retail shoes and the services offered
3. Online shoes ordering and delivery management
4. View and print reports such as list of customers, order receipt, list of
orders, list of delivery and income report
5. Income report monitoring

Documentation of the Current System

Example It is commonly enclosed on folder, place and keep it on the table


as shown in Figure 2. The computing of income report used paper-based method
by the staff as shown in Figure 1.

Problems Identified in the Current Systems

Based on the interview and observation with the business owner, Mrs.
Jecelle Catalan, and his staff, the manual system in the establishment is the major
problem the proponent found out.

1. Problems Identified

The main is the store area some people says that the store are was hidden
and the area was not able to see in the highways.

Process Model of Existing System

A process model was used to deliberately understand the processes or


sequence of activities of the current system between entities involved in a
business.

In this project, the proponents used the Input, Process, Output (IPO)
Model; it is widely used approach in systems analysis for relating the structure of
processing of information, this served as researcher’s guide in order to
materialize the study. 

The input contains a knowledge, software and hardware requirement that


was used by the proponents to understand the basic information needed,
analyzed and develop such strategies for the project. 

The process contains methods the researcher used to determine, assess,


and identify the best solutions to the current manual system. In research
investigation, it identifies the required variables; understand the particular
variables to guide the researcher on this research project. These were the
processes applied in the concept framework to be used to develop the system.

The output will be the proposed system entitled Online Information


System of JC Fashion Shoe

The feedback loops take the system output into consideration with the
end-users, which enables the system to adjust its performance to meet a desired
output response.

Process Model of the Proposed System

Figure 10 shows the use case diagram of the proposed system. It shows
the flow of information between the system, its environment and the entities that
interact with it. Based on the process model, there are three (3) entities namely;
Business Owner (administrator), staff/crew, and customer. In the process, the
staff manages customer’s information, orders, payment, delivery schedules, and
print reports such as list of customers, list of orders, list of delivery schedules,
order receipt and view income report. The business owner can view income
performance report in graphical representation.
The customer can order by filling-up the ordering form online, receive
order payment receipt upon delivery. The processes as shown in Figure 6.

Figure 6 shows the use case diagram of the proposed system. These
diagrams also identify the interactions between the system and its actors. The
use cases and actors in use-case diagrams describe what the system does and
how the actors use it, but not how the system operates internally.

Project Duration

The figure below is the Gantt chart of the project indicating the schedule of activities per phase for projected completion. It
includes duration of tasks in the development of the project starts from September 26, 2022 for requirement gathering and terminates
on November 30, 2022.

Technical References

used in the development of the project. The hardware requirements include the
minimum hardware parts of computer to support the development process of
the system and software requirements includes the minimum operating system,
front end and backend software needed to deploy the system online.
