What I Need to Know

This module was designed and written with you in mind. It is here to
help you master the multiplication of simple fractions and mixed fractions.
The scope of this module permits it to be used in many different learning
situations. The language used recognizes the diverse vocabulary level of
students. The lessons are arranged to follow the standard sequence of the
course. But the order in which you read them can be changed to correspond
with the textbook you are now using.

After going through this module, you are expected to:

 multiply simple fractions and mixed fractions(M6NS-Ib-90.2)

What I Know

Find the product. Write the answer in simplest form.If you are not aware
of some items, try your best to answer it then go back to those items as you
continue with the lesson.

1 3 2 4
1.) 1 𝑥 = ______ 6.) 𝑥3 = _____
2 4 3 6
8 2 3 7
2.) 1 𝑥 = ______ 7.) 𝑥6 = _____

4 5 12 6
1 4 10 3
5.) 8 𝑥 = ______ 10.) 𝑥8 = _____
6 10 15 4

Compare your answers with those in the Answer Key on page 14.

Well, how was it? Were you able to answer all the questions correctly? If
you did, then that’s very good. This shows that you already know much about
the topic. You may still study the module to review what you already know.
Who knows, you might learn a few more new things as well.

1
If you got a low score, don’t feel bad. That means this module is meant for
you! It will help you understand important concepts that you can apply in
your daily life. If you study this module carefully, you will learn the answers
to the items in the test and a lot more! Are you ready?

You may now go to the next page and begin.

Lesson Multiplying Simple
1 Fractions and Mixed
Fractions
Multiplying simple fractions and mixed fractions will help you fully
understand how to multiply fractions. With this lesson you will develop your
skills in multiplying simple fractions and mixed fractions and learn how to get
the product of fraction to prepare you for the next lessons.

What’s In

Multiply the simple fractions by multiplying the numerator to numerator and

denominator to denominator. Then reduce the product in lowest terms. You
may also multiply the simple fractions by cancellation. This will make your
multiplication of simple fractions fast and easy.

Notes to the Teacher
The teacher must consider the prerequisite skills needed in
the development of this competency including the schema or
background knowledge which may reinforce learning. This module
will help the learners bridge the gap of learning to attain mastery
of the lesson in its spiral progression.

What’s New

Everybody in the world loves cupcakes. Cupcakes are ones of the most
delicious snacks exist.

Let us help Mika to bake
