1. Project SRIP cum iDdO v2.0


A School-based Reading Intervention Program (SRIP) vis-à-vis iDdO Read Program of the
Provincial Government of Davao de Oro. This is a continuing reading intervention program
which aims to improve the reading proficiency of learners identified as non-readers. This
program also is one of the highlights of Brigada Eskwela 2022 implementation dubbed as
Brigada Pagbasa. In the post-test conducted last June 2002, utilizing the Phil IRI tool, the school
has still identified 26 learners as non-readers. These identified learners were the target
beneficiaries of the SRIP cum iDdO v2.0. When DepEd issued a memorandum encouraging
schools to conduct EOSY Classes, the school has, without reluctance, implemented determinedly
the program emphasizing on reading intervention. This continuing reading program of the
school is in response to the call of the department to emphasize reading literacy and numeracy
in the teaching. The school conducted planning conferences with the internal and external
stakeholders to fully implement the program without haze. Parents of the beneficiaries were
informed and called for a meeting and orientation. Learners were given iDdO Read modules and
parents served as reading tutors while learners are at home and teachers in the classroom.

2. OPLAN: ‘Kab-ot’
‘Kab-ot’ in vernacular means reach out. This is a project which entails reaching out communities
and organizations; stakeholders such as private and business sectors, local officials and
assemblages for eminent support to the school. This means forging partnerships, mustering
support, putting into practice the School-Based Management or SBM-way of managing the
school, emphasizing shared responsibility.

3. OPLAN: Basa-Bahay
This is a project where all members of the family are commissioned to assume the responsibility
as reading tutors at home. These family members include; fathers, mothers, grandfathers,
grandmothers, uncles, aunties, siblings and all members of the family who can assist the child in
reading. The reading tool used are the iDdO Read modules.

4. OPLAN: ‘Kasangga-Guro’
This is a project seeking assistance from the Junior High School teachers to serve as reading
tutors for the elementary learners during Brigada Pagbasa. In order ensure fair ratio of teacher-
learner interaction for the reading program, all Junior High School teachers were teaching and
facilitating reading activities in the elementary.

5. Project ‘Dikit’
A project where teachers are tasked to provide printed materials for the establishment of Home
Learning Spaces and also supplemental reading materials, laminated flash cards, big books and
other similar forms for the reading intervention program.

6. Alay Dunong:
A project providing teachers’ technical assistance to parents in the conduct of Basa-Bahay and
establishment of Home Learning Spaces.

7. Project LYNNE: Learning for Yearning and Nurturing Excellence


Learning for Yearning and Nurturing Excellence (LYNNE) in Reading, Writing and Numeracy. This
project aims to strengthen classroom instruction emphasizing reading, writing and numeracy.

8. The Implements
A project intensifying the advocacy of calling on stakeholders to provide learning implements for
children such as bags, learning kits and others.

9. Project ‘Duty Calls’


A project accentuating teacher to conduct home visitation to learners having special learning
needs and learners at-risk of dropping out.

10. Operation Sulok Ganda


A project gripping parents to enhance and embellish Home Learning Spaces of their children.
This project emphasizes the attractiveness of their learning spaces to motivate learners to
actively perform their home-school tasks.

11. OPLAN: Bantay Buhay


This is a project seeking the assistance from the members of the Civilian Volunteers
Organization (CVO) to serve as Traffic Enforcers along the highway fronting the school. In order
to ensure the safety and security of the learners and the whole school community passing
through the busy highway particularly during arrival and departure morning and afternoon.

12. OPLAN: Tanglaw


A project seeking assistance from the Local Government Unit (LGU) – Barangay Basak and
Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Basak to install solar lights as perimeter lighting in the school and in
few places in the barangay where learners of Basak Integrated School reside.
13. Project GsT
This is a Gulayan sa Tahanan or GsT project which encourages residents of every purok
particularly those households with learners from Basak Integrated School to maintain a
vegetable garden at home. This project strengthens the Food Always in the Home or FAITH
program of the government to ensure availability of healthy and nutritious food in the
households. The school awards best implementer of this program.

14. Project ‘ABHAR’


‘Ang Batang Happy Always Ready’ or ABHAR project depicts that a joyful learner is motivated to
learn. This project engages learners to participate virtually in few social media fun activities like
Tiktok, Sing-a-long and Zumba dancing. This also showcases talents of learners in painting and
making creative facemasks. The school awards prizes to those outstanding performances and
outputs.

15. Alay H-Pro


Health Protocols or H-Pro are still necessary in the daily operations of the school to ensure that
everyone is safe from the onslaught of COVID-19 pandemic. In this project, the school calls for
support from stakeholders to provide supplies and materials for minimum health standards
required by the Department of Health.

16. Project ‘B-Live’


A project which aims at giving beautiful, bright, vivid and lively touch of the school grounds
radiating from its colorful and educational landscapes. This project encourages stakeholders to
provide painting materials for the painting and repainting of school landscapes. Through this
project, the school ensures that school landscaping not only gives vibrant, positive and
illuminating colors that exalts attractiveness but also motivates learners to learn.

17. Project ‘Vax-in Tayo’


A harmonized vaccination program where Basak Integrated School coordinates and collaborate
with the Barangay Health Office on the vaccination of learners. The school intensifies its
advocacy on learners’ vaccination in preparation for the full in-person classes through social
media platforms, parents’ orientation and frequent communication via chatrooms. Apparently,
Basak IS learners vaccinated is already 90% for the junior high school and 55% for the
elementary.

18. OPLAN: ‘Dokyu-serb’


A project aims at providing parents ease in transacting the birth records of their children. This is
in collaboration with the barangay and the school which is held as one of the highlight initiatives
of implementing Brigada Eskwela 2022. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is serving the
people in Basak particularly of Basak Integrated School at the mini gym.

19. Operation T-Up


T stands for tidying, tidying up means to make the school clean, hygienic, sanitized. This is a
project involving diverse volunteers in cleaning up the school grounds, classrooms, toilets,
windows, handwashing facilities and offices.
20. The QRs
QR means Quick Response. This project encompasses the designation of QR Code to learners for
easy access of their personal profile by the class advisers and other school personnel. This is one
initiative also of the school intended for tracking purposes of learners’ profile. The school
ensures that Data Privacy is of utmost consideration in utilizing the codes.

21. OPLAN: Bisita Ahensya


Various government agencies have been considered benevolent stakeholders of the school.
Yearly, they offer their services, bring their donations and extend assistance to the school in
various ways during Brigada Eskwela month-long activities. This year, they come to school for
their usual visit handing in their donations.

22. Project ‘Alam’


Symposia, lectures and training-workshops for teachers, parents, learners and few people in the
community are annual and usual Brigada Eskwela initiative of Basak Integrated School. Various
topics are given to specific participants in different walks of life. This year symposium on Flood
Management, Health and Nutrition and Financial Literacy for the parents. Teen age life and
Financial Literacy for the learners, Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers for the teachers and
for community folks, skills training for basic haircut was given.

23. ‘Parangal at Papremyo’


This project aims at giving appreciation and recognition to the participation, performance,
completion and accomplishment of various activities and initiatives conducted during the
Brigada Eskwela month-long implementation.

24. Seat Plan


This project is intended for the benefit of both internal and stakeholders. The multi-purpose
gym is not complete without bleachers for it gives comfort and safety to the people participating
in various activities. This project was granted by the Congressional Office under the leadership of
Hon. Ruwel Peter S. Gonzaga.

25. Build Me a Second Home


Every School Year Basak Integrated School continues to rise. Thus, classroom is essential to hold
the learners to meet the quality education. In partnership with the Municipal Local Government
Unit (MLGU) a classroom was provided which is utilized by Grade 10 learners.

26. Time to Shed


This project was provided by Hon. Connie Caballero thru the initiative of the Barangay Council.
The purpose of this project is to give convenience to parents while waiting for their children to
come out from their respective classrooms.

27. Cover Up
Since Basak Integrated School is a flooding area. There is a need of filling the ground. Thus, the
Provincial Government Office (PGO) addressed the need of the school. Forty percent (40%) of
the ground located in Junior High School area was levelled up.
28. Level Up
Heavy rains sometimes cause flood. One of the affected area in school is the Grade 3 classroom.
It was a hard situation for there were books, modules and other materials got damaged. Parent-
Teacher Association (PTA) responded the necessity of this classroom and shouldered the fund
for the labor of the construction. Recently, no more water can get inside the classroom during
heavy rains.

29. Paint and Fix.


In preparation of the incoming classes for the School Year 2022-2023, armchairs in Junior High
School should be repainted. With the generosity of different stakeholders, paints were provided
and with the Bayanihan effort of the various groups and volunteers the repainting activity was
100% accomplished. The Junior High School was indeed ready for the opening of classes.

30. Keep Me!


Storage room is the place where supplies and other materials kept. In order to organize the
things inside the storage room a built-in cabinet was constructed and installed. In this, Parent-
Teacher Association (PTA) shared for the labor of the construction. Now, the old books, old files,
malfunctioned printers, and other unused materials are already in order and safely kept.

31. Keep Me Safe.


Basak Integrated School is located nearly the National Road. Thus, learners’ safety is always the
concern of the school. Part of the proceeds of the Search for Gandang Nanay 2022 was spend
for the labor in fabricating the two (2) barricades. These are place on road during school days to
prevent accidents in coming to school and in going home.

32. Lock in.


Things in school should be kept in a secured place, free from insects, animals and other factors
that may cause damage. Hence, cabinets are constructed and installed in classrooms and in
office. Cabinets in classrooms were provided by the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) while the
cabinet in the office was provided by the Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) utilizing the
budget of School Education Fund (SEF). In this, things and files inside the classrooms and in
office are intact and secured.

33. Yes We Conduit!


Electrical wiring is an electrical installation of cabling and associated devices such as switches,
distribution boards, and sockets and light fittings in a structure. Wiring is subject to safety
standards for designs and installation (Wikipedia).For this reason, electrical wiring in school
were checked by the utility/watchman and it was found that there were connections need to be
fixed. Materials needed for wiring rehabilitation were provided by the Parent-Teacher
Association (PTA). The electrical connection in school was secured and stable.

34. A Bite.
Brigada Eskwela 2022 has various programs, projects and activities for the readiness of the
opening of classes for the school year 2022-2023 which as participated by different volunteers
and groups. Doing clean ups, constructions, repainting and the like were tiring activities. In this,
with the kind-heartedness of different stakeholders such as Municipal Local Government Unit
(MLGU), Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and others provided food and refreshments to those
who were involved.
35. Together we are Stronger.
School-to-school partnerships are schools with strong alliances or affiliations either between
two or more schools or schools and organizations. As stipulated in DO 44, s 2016 – guidelines on
the School-to-school partnerships. San Vicente Elementary School offered 70 pieces of plastic
armchairs utilized by grade 7 learners and Manat National High School donated 30 packs of
learning kits use by the learners during Summer Reading.

36. Balloons, freebies 1st day of classes


On August 22, 2022 was the formal opening of the classes. Since, learners did not attend in
person classes for the School Year 2021-2022 teachers came up with the idea of giving surprises
to the learners. Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) provided balloons placed near the gate and
beside the pathway. Class advisers also decorated balloons inside their classrooms. Sangguniang
Kabataan (SK) distributed supplies for minimum health standard and flash drives. Mrs. Rosa Mae
E. Namoc also shared face masks, back packs and school supplies. Hon.Barrie Mencidor donated
learning kits and the Municipal Youth Development Council (MYDC). These provisions were
given during flag ceremony and others were inside the classroom.
