ECA DESCRIPTIONS

Skating Sport in which blade-like runners or sets of wheels attached to
shoes are used for gliding on ice or other surfaces. 

Creative Ms. Runa Cartoon makes us smile and teaches us to look at the lighter side
Cartoons of things and situations around us. The students will get an
opportunity here to bring out their creative side and make
cartoons of people, animals and things.

Calligraphy  Ms. Vrinda  Calligraphy is a classic way of handwriting that has turned into a
modern art form as well as a growing trend in the creative world.
The students will learn to create beautiful and decorative words
that can be used on anything from letters, cards, or handwritten
signs. 

Coding Club Ms. Divya At coding Club, children will Learn to code in a fun way by
creating games. Coding improves persistence, creativity, and
problem-solving skill. Children will work on the code.org game lab
and create games. They will learn to use the different tools
under the tool box to create a game.

Board games Ms. Anuradha A lot of learning takes place through play and it has significant
benefits for kids – both socially and academically. 

Puppet Theatre Ms. Ann Puppet Theatre is a form of theatre where different kinds of
puppets are used to depict the story. The puppeteers will be
controlling the puppets and use different voices to present the
story. In these sessions children will be learning to make
different kinds of puppets and learn to use different voices for
different characters.
The session will start with Paper puppets. Children will make
different kinds of animal puppets and will discuss about the
movements the puppet needs. First three sessions will be
concentrating on hand puppets. Fourth session will be the
introduction to stick puppets. Next few sessions will be
concentrating on how to depict the story using these puppets.
Basketball Ms. Shilpa Students will be learning and acquiring basic skills and game plans
for basketball.
Students will work and understand a knowledge of a basketball
game and learn fundamental skills, techniques, and game planning
of the basketball.
Students will focus on developing their understanding of the
tactics, recognising the importance of improving the techniques
required to play more effectively and consistently.
Students will focus on preparing for inter-house and interschool
tournaments, and competitions. 

School Choir & Mr. David The school choir & band is an excellent opportunity for students
Band to expand their musicianship. Students will learn a selection of
songs from different genres in preparations for the primary
school Band.

Myths & Ms. Shivangi In this club students will get to know about a myth which is a
Legends traditional story that explains the beliefs of a people about the
natural and human world and Legends which is a traditional or
historical story about people, places and events of ancient
times.

Riddle Club Ms. Aparna Good riddles improve the attentiveness, intellectual skills and
triggers logical thinking. There can be nothing better than riddles
to give your brain an exercise in the funniest way. 

Word game Ms. Anne  Students build vocabulary in a fun and interactive way, improving
their thinking skills and writing skills.

Dance Mr. Arjun Dance forms: Hip-hop, House Breaking and more
 Setting up group choreography
 Working on freestyle skills.
 Training for performance and competition

TUESDAY
Rock Climbing Rock climbing  is a sport in which participants  climb  up, across, or
down natural  rock  formations or artificial  rock walls. The goal is
to reach the  summit  of a formation or the endpoint of a usually
pre-defined  route  without falling. Rock climbing is a physically
and mentally demanding sport, one that often tests a climber's
strength, endurance, agility and balance along with mental
control.
Chess The object of the game is  to checkmate (threaten with
inescapable capture) the opponent's king. Rules of the game will
be taught.

Headspace Ms. Darshini Headspace  provides  an opportunity for learners to obtain a


wider understanding of  Mindfulness. Mindfulness will help the
children to build self-esteem, manage stress, and skilfully
approach challenges.

Seaspiracy Ms. Sneha Exploring the mesmerising life under water, to understand how it
impacts the existence of life at large. Learning about the
different plant and animal species, endangered and extinct ones
too. Intervention of humans into their natural habitat, diving,
seafood, coral reefs, water pollution, the environment and the
like. Experiential learning like that of creating water terrariums,
craft, etc

GK Club Ms. Shreya GK Club will offer an exciting way to motivate, inspire and
encourage students in their quest for knowledge and provide
them with an opportunity to celebrate their achievements. 

Ecofreaks Ms. Sonia The main idea of this ECA is to motivate the children to seek
connection with nature and behave positively towards the
environment, wildlife, and habitats to save the
environment. Children will learn about environmental issues.
Children will have a passion for protecting the natural
environment and a desire to make a difference in their life.

Detective Club Ms. Linus      Detective club aims at focussing on reasoning skills. Why a said
    crime took place/ the motive? Are there any loopholes? Does the
perpetrator have an alibi? Have we taken all the information into
account?   
It helps in creating 100% concentration and improves students
listening and reading skills as the students’ watch cases and try
to reason out and solve them.     

Kathak club Ms. Pinki Kathak is one of the six classical dance forms of India. Students
will learn basic steps and taal. They will explore more about the
dance form.
Brain Gym Ms. Kanne Brain gym is a program of 26 physical movements to integrate
Priyanka the body and mind which enhance learning and performance.
Brain gym exercises are exercises designed to help the brain
function better during learning process. As such, you can think
of brain gym exercises as part of the overall theory of multiple
intelligence.

Crossroads with Ms. Sananda The good old square grid of white- and black-shaded squares.
Crosswords The objective of the puzzle is fill the white squares with letters,
forming words or phrases, by solving clues, which lead to the
answers. This will aid learners to improve their vocabulary.

Taekwondo Mr. Nagarjuna Basics of level 2 of taekwondo

Football Mr. Ravi    Students will acquire an understanding of defence and offence
(Grades 1-5) techniques and learn fundamental skills and game planning of
football. 
Basic principles of attack and defense 
 They will work in groups, taking on a range of roles and
responsibilities, to help each other to prepare and improve
as a team. 
 Students will be expected to think about how to improve
their basic skills, and how to become more controlled and
more accurate. 
 Students will learn to implement and recognise patterns of
tactical play in different games.   
 Students will focus on preparing for inter-house and
interschool tournaments, and competitions.

Head- Ms. Darshini Head-scratcher puzzlement is providing a fun  learning
Scratcher opportunity  for students to develop their critical thinking.

Sudoku Ms. Runa Solving puzzles with numbers like Sudoku is always beneficial for
kids. It helps the children develop their problem-solving skills
besides improving their concentration.

Comedy club Ms. Shivangi A comedy club is where students will watch/ enact, listen to
performances, including stand-up comedians, improvisational
comedians, impersonators, impressionists, magicians,
ventriloquists, and other comedy acts.

Folktales Ms. Vrinda Through folktales children are entertained and educated about
the culture in different societies. Folk tales are regarded as a
good instrument for understanding and increasing the exchange
between diverse cultures. It gives the children an opportunity to
learn new ideas and information; without realising it, they are
learning valuable life lessons through hearing an engaging and
exciting tale.   

Hindi Club Ms. Manjusha Children will learn about Indian culture and basic Hindi speaking
in the Hindi club. Songs, stories, videos, and role-play will all be
used to teach the children.

Kannada club Ms. Sonia In the Kannada club, children will get to know about the art,
culture, and interesting facts of Karnataka.  Children will learn
Kannada through music, stories, illustrations, reading and writing
alphabets and numbers etc. 

Incredible Ms. Aparna India is a land with a beautiful amalgamation of various spoken
India dialects, traditions, cultures, dance forms, religions, topography
and artefacts from various states. Children will be engaged in
various activities depicting some aspect of each state we learn
about.

Pictionary Ms. Sananda Tickle your creative thinking skills representing words by
drawing them. Work in groups to improve your communication and
social skills.

THURSDAY

Space Safari Ms. Shreya Who hasn't felt a sense of awe while looking deep into the sky lit
with countless stars on a clear night? Who hasn't asked
themselves if ours is the only planet that supports life? Who
hasn't pondered the nature of the planets, stars, galaxies, and
the Universe itself? Space Safari will enlighten these curious
minds to further chase the mysteries of the Universe!

Math Club Ms. Anuradha The math club helps to arouse and maintain interest in math. It
also helps to develop problem solving attitude among students.

Anime Reading Ms. Linus Anime reading club students will be watching and reading at the
Club same time. They will be exposed to Japanese anime/manga series
where they will discuss and have fun exploring this new
opportunity. This will further enhance their attention span and
pave ways to try a new language.

Lego League Ms. Sneha An incredibly creative and fun toy tool, Lego enhances
communication skills and instills resilience and perseverance.
They learn to work in a team and problem solve along the way.
Bringing their imagination alive, the sky's their limit. Lego league
will be instrumental in their journey of exploration.

Earth science Ms. Pinki In Earth science club students will explore more about earth.
They will explore different landforms, territories, natural
resources and many more about the planet earth.

Japanese club Ms. Gaurangi Japanese language and Japanese culture introduction. basic level
of Japanese. A new language improves memory power and
creativity. Many cognitive benefits to learning a new language.
Club Hispánico Mr. Anthony Students will be introduced to basics of a new language, hispanic
Lazar culture, hispanic countries, hispanic dance, hispanic music.

Knitting Club Ms. Anne Children who knit have better emotional well-being. They often
exhibit better social behaviours, an increased sense of team work
and state that they stay calm and happy when they knit.
