1. General information
The airtelligence provis 2.0 visualisation is a browser‐based application that is installed on a
virtual operating system (also referred to as a virtual machine).
This gives you the advantage of being able to use the software after completing just a few
configuration steps. Before the visualisation application can run, the airtelligence provis 2.0
control system must be fully installed, since this makes the necessary runtime data available.
The sections that follow describe the various steps to be carried out before using the visualization
for the first time. Read through the following recommendations before you start to ensure your
PC meets the necessary system requirements.
System requirements:

In this respect, it depends whether the computer is only required for visualization purposes, or whether
other applications should be performed as well. To ensure that the system works smoothly, the virtual
machine (VM) should have at least 4 GB (RAM) available,
At least 21GB free hard drive space.
2. Quick introduction to the light version
1. Start up your web browser.
2. Enter the URL http://“IP address of the virtual machine”:8080.
The visualisation starts by showing the status screen:

The light version includes the following:
Status (Facility, Compressor, Compressor Detail, Accessories)
Profiles
History (Analysis, Events)
Settings (General)
2.1. Status and Profiles
The Status and Profiles screens are similar to the display on the control unit and are therefore not
explained in detail here. In contrast to the control unit, however, the settings can only be read out
here and cannot be altered.
2.2. History – Analysis
The History screen has two subdivisions: “Analysis” and “Events”. The “Analysis” category allows
the evaluation of the facility’s behaviour to be shown graphically.
Here, you can select an analysis timespan and see the runtime data for the selected section in the
form of a graph. The values to be shown in the history diagram can be defined in the middle
section of the screen. Four of five status parameters can be allocated to a particular X axis.

The facility status and the currently active profile are always visible.

Facility status
The key for the facility status appears as a tool tip when you hold the mouse pointer over it. The
colours have the same significance as those in the control unit.
In addition, you can click on the symbol to show history graphs for pressure, flow rate, facility
load, power and efficiency:

2.3. History – Events
This screen shows the saved events from the control unit. You can alter the period of
consideration in order to give a better overview. It is also possible to sort the list according to type
of error (first column), error code, module, date and time or status. Tool tips give details of each
entry (when you hold the mouse pointer over them); this is also similar to the display on the
control unit.
The “Export PDF” and “Export CSV” buttons offer two options for exporting the displayed list and
saving it as either a PDF or CSV file.

2.4. Settings – General
The settings screen allows you to adjust the general settings, such as language and units of
measurement:
3. Activate the full version
1. Click on the link at the top right of the screen (below the date and time indicator).
2. Copy the activation code to the clipboard (by selecting it and then pressing CTRL + C).
3. Click on the link for online activation.

4. Paste the activation code into the corresponding field (CTRL + V).
5. Fill in the other fields with the relevant data.
6. Send the activation request by confirming the entries.

After the eligibility of the request has been verified, you will receive a verification code via email.
7. Enter the verification code in the empty field in the “Activation window”.
8. Click on the “Activate” button.
From now on, the full range of functions of the airtelligence provis 2.0 will be at your disposal.

4. The functions of the full version
After activating the full version, you will have a wide range of new functions at your disposal.
These are explained in detail below.
4.1. History – Reporting
The reporting screen shows the runtime data and the evaluation of this data in the form of tables.
The structure of this screen is explained in detail below.

Data selection:
In the upper section, you can select the segment that you wish to view. The default segment, for
the current period, is selected as standard. In addition to selecting the report/evaluation
timespan, you can also export the evaluation data for specific periods (e.g. yesterday, last week or
last month) and save them as PDF or CSV files.
It is also possible to have PDF reports sent automatically via email at defined intervals (to the
user’s email address). Click on the “Report Intervals” button to open the corresponding, self‐
explanatory menu.
Overview of key performance data:
The second section of the screen shows some of the key performance data of the compressed‐air
station for the selected timespan. The field on the left‐hand side (“Facility”), however, is an
exception. Here, the current status data is shown, so that you do not lose sight of it.
The P‐min and P‐max values represent the minimum and maximum pressure values that occurred
during the report timespan.
Compressor runtime information:
This section of the screen lists all of the compressors that are connected to the system. The first
columns show the performance data and the columns on the right show the operating hours and
service counter.
The values shown are independent of the selected report timespan, since they relate to current
data as opposed to historical data.

Evaluation:
The bottom section of the screen shows the evaluation of the operating hours that occurred
during the report timespan. The load and idle times of the compressors are added together for
this purpose. Since the air delivery quantity and the input power
of the compressors are known, the generated quantity of
compressed air can be calculated, along with the amount of
electrical energy consumed and thus also the resulting costs. If
you click on an individual value, a separate window opens to
show a diagram based on the corresponding column values.
4.2. Facility Alarms
The Facility Alarms screen allows you to configure email notifications for alarm messages and out‐
of‐range values.
This can be done as follows:
1. Select and create the type of alarm.
2. For range alarms, enter the permissible range of values.
3. For compressor or accessory alarms, define the alarm context.

4.3. Settings – Notifications
The notifications section allows you to set the parameters for sending notifications via email. Up
to three different email recipients can be entered in the “Alarm Settings” section.
The details of your SMTP server must be entered in the “Email Settings” section, so that the
application can send emails. The address of the sender can be freely selected
(example: [email protected]).
4.4. Settings – User Management
Users that are defined as standard and cannot be deleted:

With the “Master” user, you can create new users and also change all the other settings (with one
exception, which is reserved for the “System” user). This user cannot be deleted.
The “System” user role permits the following setting adjustments, which apply to the entire
visualisation application and are user‐independent.
‐ The language set by this user is the language in which alarms and reports are written.
‐ Only the “System” user can set the currency unit and the price per kWh. Otherwise, this user has
no further functions.

Create a new user
To create a new user, you will need to log in as “Master”:
1. Click on “New User” in the Settings/User Management section.
2. Enter the user data in the corresponding fields.
The password can be freely selected; no restrictions apply. Then select a role for the user. Each
role has certain access rights. The following table shows the various restrictions for each user role.

The “Login enabled” check box is used to determine whether it is possible to login using this user
data. This allows you to deactivate programmed users without having to delete them. Only the
Master user can not be deactivated.

4.5. Create new segment
Data Segmentation refers to the subdivision of data into different, named, chronological
segments. This can be useful if the facility configuration is changed and a direct comparison
between the previous and current data is no longer meaningful. For analysis purposes, however,
it may still be useful to keep the old data in the system and to simply segment access to it. Since
the visualisation application always accesses only the currently selected segment, the processing
speed can be increased by applying segmentation on a regular (e.g. annual) basis.
A new segment can be created as follows:
1. In the “Endtime” field, enter the date and time that defines the end of the new segment. Make
sure that you use the specified format.
2. In the “Segment Name” field, enter a freely defined name for the segment.
3. Click on the button to complete this action.
In the History section, you can now choose between the newly generated segment and the
standard “Default” segment (which contains the current runtime data).
