DIVINE WORD COLLEGE OF LAOAG

The divine word college of laoag (dwcl) was originally named St. William’s college after the patron of
the parish of laoag. But in october 1964, it was renamed Divine Word College of Laoag . The founder of DWCL
is St. Arnold Janssen. This was done to associate the school with the SVD--- “Society of the Divine Word” or
“Societas Verbi Divini” in Latin. Also, St. Joseph Freinademetz was the first SVD missionary to China. This
aided in establishing a shared identity with other divine word schools, such as the Divine Word College of
Vigan and Bangued.

For Incoming Freshmen & Transferees

Procedure for INCOMING FRESHMEN:

Required Documents

1. Original Copy of Form 138/SF9

2. Photocopy of PSA- issued Birth Certificate
3. Original Certificate of Good Moral Character
4. 1 copy of 2x2 picture
5. Diagnostic Examination Result
6. Baptismal Certificate

Enrolment Procedure On-site:

 Present required documents to the Registrar’s Office

 Obtain enrolment slip from the Registrar’s Office to complete the process
 Go to Dean’s office for encoding of subjects
 Go to Cash section for payment of fees
 Go to the Registrar’s Office for the Official Registration Form.

Enrolment Procedure Online:

1. Scan the required documents (indicate the preferred course to enroll on the SF9)
2. Send it via Email to [email protected] and wait for the confirmation, survey form and
DWCL bank account details.
3. Upon the receipt of the confirmation from the registrar’s office you may pay your initial fee at the
DWCL Payment Centers: BDO,BPI, or through GCash.
4. Student sends the proof of payment to Divine Word College of Laoag via Email:

5. Finance department acknowledges receipt of emailed proof of payment and processes the
verification of student deposit and confirms proof of payment to the Dean

6. Dean encodes courses of student who officially paid the fees as confirmed by the Finance
Department.
7. Registrar emails to the student official registration form in time for the opening of classes
 Submit all your original required documents of the registrar’s office.

The goal of the Campus Ministry Office is to contribute to the holistic for of the Divine Word College of
Laoag community - faculty, personne students, inspired by a Trinitarian Spirituality, to be companions of Je
Divine Word Incarnate in His mission of serving all people.

Objectives:
