Paulo C. Campos was a Filipino physician and educator


noted for his promotion of wider community health care and
his achievements in the field of nuclear medicine for which
he was dubbed as "The Father of Nuclear Medicine in the
Philippines.

 Established the first Medical Research Laboratory in the Philippines at UP
 Initiated the construction of the first radioisotope laboratory in the Philippines
 Institutionalized the Comprehensive Community Health Program (CCHP) and facilities in
Bay, Laguna
 Worked at the family-owned Emilio Aguinaldo College, a partner institution of the
Medical Center Manila which he founded
 Elected as the first President of the National Academy of Science and Technology in 1978

 Nuclear Medicine
 Research on goiter specifically the proposition that a genetic factor contributed to
endemic goiter and that the main cause of goiter is iodine intake deficiency. He suggested
as treatment the injection of iodized oil. All won first prizes in Research Award.

coastal communities

seaweed farms. This disease devastated the commercial production of seaweed in the

Benito Lumen is known as Father of Lunasin. His mother Soledad instructed him to be his own

Filipino entrepreneur and engineer working in the high-

set for IBM's PC-XT and the PC-AT, and the local bus
concept and the first Windows Graphics accelerator
chip for personal computers. A three-time start-up
