Introduction
The Eucharist is another name for Holy Communion or the
Lord's Supper. The term comes from the Greek by way of
Latin. It means "thanksgiving." It often refers to the
consecration of the body and blood of Christ or its
representation through bread and wine. Catholics believe the
Eucharist, or Communion, is both a sacrifice and a meal. We
believe in the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins.
As we receive Christ's Body and Blood, we also are nourished
spiritually and brought closer to God.

The Eucharist
Jesus our Savior instituted the Eucharistic sacrifice of His body and blood
at the Last Supper. This perpetual sacrifice of the cross is entrusted to the
church- His beloved Spouse. The death and resurrection of Jesus is
remembered as a memorial of his love, unity, and charity. The Paschal
meal is a grace and pledge of glory.
During the Last Supper, Jesus washed the feet of His apostles and gave
the commandment of love, for he was leaving the world and returning to
the father. The lord wants the apostles and disciples, sharers in the
Passover to hear his pledge before them his everlasting presence.

The Eucharist
Jesus in the Last Supper celebrated the Passover meal which has a
commemorative meaning of the Jewish Passover. The new Passover is the
Eucharist. The Eucharist also is an anticipation of the Passover of the
church in a final sense.
The presence of Christ is unique in the Eucharist, Bread & Wine, and
because of it the Eucharist as a sacrament in the perfection of spiritual life.
The body and blood of Jesus in the most most Holy Eucharist is the
present to humanity fully human and divine.

The Eucharist
This real presence of Jesus in the Blessed Host is full, and His presence as
God and Man is substantial, as he is wholly and entirely present; indeed
He is the source and summit of Christian life.

The Church considers the Eucharist as the communion of human and

divine life, and symbolizes the unity of God’s people.

POPE JOHN PAUL II

life with others”

The Eucharist is a Rich Treasure
❑The Eucharist is our daily nourishment. It is the treasure
that give us strength everyday, and sustain us in all that
we do. It is also our great passage to attain eternal life.
❑ The Eucharist is our most beautiful treasure. It ushers us into
eternal life in advance; it contains the entire mystery of our
salvation; it is the source and summit of the action and life of
the Church

The Eucharist is not an Ordinary Meal
In our daily meal, what we eat becomes part of us. In the Eucharist
those who eat it become part of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ tells his
disciples, “He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood is united with
me, and I am united with him” (John 6:56)

The Eucharist is a celebration of Joy and Fellowship

As Saint Paul says: “Does not the chalice of blessings which we bless, bring us into
union with Christ through His blood? And does not the bread which we break, bring
us into union with Christ through His body? Because the bread is one, we through
many, who all partake of that one bread, from one body”. In the Eucharist, we are filled
with Jesus Christ. With that, we have enormous love for our neighbors.

VOCATIONS

There are three different vocations within the Catholic faith;

Religious Life, Married Life, and Single Blessedness. But today we
will be tackling about the vocation of single blessedness. Living
this chosen vocation may also mean a holy life focused on the love
for His greater glory is what it means to live a solitary life. People
who accept this calling are called to love and serve God's people.
Either by choice or by force of circumstance, one may live the single
life

Leah Mae
What is Single Blessedness?
It is by being single that he/she can give
his/her best to serve God and Humanity.
Single Blessedness is where you may decide
to stay a single lay man, but committed
nonetheless to God in your work and
apostolate.

17
Kyle Funesto
Why do others choose single life
❑They choose Single Blessedness because they want to
remain single, pure and chaste their entire lives and
dedicate themselves for the greater glory of God.

18
Mayssie
Happiness in Single Blessedness
❑Find happiness from the things you love
❑Serve the community by using your talents and skills.
❑Dedicate your life to God’s greatness
