1. PURPOSE: Oil dehydrating from MOT by running LVDH.


2. SCOPE: All three units
3. RESPONSIBILITY: Desk Engineer
4. DURATION: 5 hr

5. OUTPUT: Oil dehydrating from MOT by running LVDH.

6. PROCEDURE:

6.1 Ensure that there is no PTW on Low Vacuum Dehydrator (LVDH).


6.2 Ensure that the suction and discharge pipes are connected properly to the oil tank.
6.3 Ensure that the oil inlet valves & suction valve to Vacuum Pump are in open condition.
6.4 Ensure that the suction valve of Discharge pump is in open condition.
6.5 Ensure that the valves at condensate pot are closed.
6.6 Open the discharge valve & switch on the MCB to start the machine.
6.7 While switching off the machine at first switch off the MCB.
6.8 Close the suction valve of vacuum pump.
6.9 Release the vacuum by opening the ball valve for manual vacuum release on condensate pot.
6.10 Close the valve after release of vacuum Pressure.
6.11 Check the vacuum pump oil is clear. If it is milky, replace it by ENKLO-150 Or VM-4.
6.12 The machine is meant to run continuously.
6.13 Centrifuge need not be kept in running condition.

7. QUALITY

7.1. All the parameters, activities are maintained as per the manual.
7.2. Any deviation is recorded and corrective action is taken accordingly.

8. ENVIRONMENT: Not applicable

9. OHSAS:

9.1 Persons deployed on the work must use safety helmets, shoes, goggles, dust masks & hand gloves.
9.2 Before starting of any operation, ensure all standard clearance from main control room and
shift in charge.
9.3 Ensure deployment of a group of people (2 or more) while carrying out job in an isolated or deserted place in
night shift.
