Khalid Bin Waleed (RA) o Level Notes

Khalid bin Waleed was a prominent Muslim general who lived from 592-642 AD. Some key events and accomplishments include: he helped Muslims return safely from the Battle of Mu'tah; collected three hairs of the Prophet Muhammad at the Farewell Pilgrimage; played an important role in many early Muslim conquests under Abu Bakr and Umar, including defeating the Byzantines at Ajnadain and conquering parts of Iraq; and laid siege to Jerusalem in 636 after the Battle of Yarmuk. He was a skilled military leader who greatly expanded Muslim territories in the early years after the Prophet's death.
