Different words for members of the family
We don’t usually call our father “father” or our
mother “mother”, instead we use:
Father = Dad
Mother = Mom
Grandfather = Grandad
Grandmother = Grandma, Granny or even Nana
Brothers and sisters = Siblings,

VERB BE - IS
We use the verb be, IS with the third person singular: He, She and IT.
He is happy. She is cute. It is small.
