We have taken special measures to create such an environment that supports openness and greater

relations among colleagues that help us to grow as an employer of choice. We also create a working

b. How did the work culture in your enterprise change after employing more women?

Employing more women has brought perspectives to the workplace, as well as various abilities and

 attitudes to situations. The Organization has benefitted from their soft skills, optimism, and

intuition. It has also enabled a diverse culture within the organization that promotes productivity.

Overall women have ensured to create a healthy environment that will be essential for long term

success.

a. What Issues and challenges were faced/struggles made for reaching your current position? (Kindly
describe your initial phase of employment to current.
In Pakistan many companies have pay gap based on genders. This is totally not fair for the women

since they perform all tasks equally and at par with the men and such discrimination results in

resentment leading to high turnover. Another noticeable challenge that the working women face

is the lack of work-life balance. However, at Abbott we are treated equally and avail amazing
opportunities like education policies, car loan facility and skill development workshops.

b. Do you think your input/contribution is valued the same way as your male counterparts.
  Abbott is committed to developing a workplace that is inclusive for all. Moreover, provide equality,

fairness and respect for all in our employment, whether permanent, temporary, or full-time. At Abbott

not unlawfully discriminate in relation to the following protected characteristics of age, disability,

marriage, maternity, race, religion or belief, sex. Hence due to presence of such policies contributions

are treated equally.


c. How has your organization supported your growth in your respective organization? (Please mention any

  Abbott supports, promotes, and facilitate women at every step of their career. This is in form of

providing a healthy environment and opportunities for women to grow and move up the ladder.

Women are appointed at leading positions like Director Operations, Director Quality Assurance,

Director Regularity Affairs, Director Marketing etc., and carries important positions in the BOD. This

d. What are your suggestions for enhancing the organizations work environment with regard to employed
women?

I think that Abbott has already acknowledged and taken into account the diverse and unique

perspective that women bring to business. I believe that from making a workplace inclusive of

women to actually putting policy into practice, everything has been done by Abbott. All that is left to be

done is to carry out these policies even further in the modern day. This can be done by having proper

committees that ensure that the policies put in place are followed and each and every employee is

aware of them.
