Synopsis
In the school playground, Chip, Hannah, and Kim are making silly faces.
They see Stephen wearing a certain uniform and leads them to "The
Noble Duke of York". After the song, Stephen marches up to the treehouse
and searches for a forest through binoculars, when Barney comes to life
and notices Stephen wearing a forest ranger's uniform. Stephen explains
that his class had a forest ranger visiting and gave him a hat and

and wishes to see a real forest. Barney explains that one way of seeing a
real forest is visiting a summer camp. When Stephen explains how he

should get to summer camp, Barney tells him to close his eyes and use
his imagination, to which Stephen does.
When Stephen opens his eyes, he sees himself in a cabin with Chip as
they hear someone play "Reveille" on a bugle. They both look out the
FAN window and see Barney, dressed as a camp counselor, playing it. They,

along with Hannah and Kim from the other cabin, go outside and Barney
holds the last note so long. He says he thinks he's going to turn purple
from blowing so hard, when Hannah points out that he really is purple.

Barney clarifies and then welcomes the kids to Camp WannaRunnaRound.

Barney raises the camp flag and leads everyone to sing the camp anthem
ANIME - "Camp WannaRunnaRound" - with him. After the song, Barney then tells
the campers to make their beds and dress up in their camp clothes, to
which they do in a fast motion. Barney then gets the campers to start the
MOVIES day with morning exercises, as they sing "The Exercise Song". Afterward,
they get prepared for fishing while they see junior camp counselor BJ
struggling to carry a canoe. They all go to a lake. Barney and the kids go
TV fishing at a dock while BJ rows his canoe. They sing "Fishing Song", while
BJ sings "Row, Row, Row Your Boat".
VIDEO Later, Barney shows the kids how to pitch a tent, but he has a little
trouble at first. He asks BJ and the kids to find something they can use to
pitch their own tents while he goes to read the instructions. Some of the
WIKIS kids find sticks and pieces of rope, while BJ finds something yellow. As he
picks it up, he claims he's seen it somewhere before, when Baby Bop
appears and asks BJ what he's doing with her blankey, and then asks

WIKI everyone what's going on here. Kim says they're finding something they
can use to pitch their tents. Suddenly, much to their surprise, they see
that Barney has completed his own dino-sized tent.
Baby Bop then decides to build her own tent. She uses her blankey and a
couple of sticks, and then her own "puppy tent" is complete. BJ tells her
that a tent like this is called a pup-tent. Suddenly, out from thin air, a live
puppy comes out of the tent. Everyone gathers around the puppy, who
then wanders off. Baby Bop sings "Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Little Dog
Gone", while they search for the dog. At the last verse, Hannah finds the
dog in the bushes.
The next activity on the daily schedule is a nature hike. Barney tells the
campers that before they go, they should all have their backpacks and the
things they need for the trip, such as waters and snacks and compasses,
but BJ's backpack is overloaded with stuff, such as his comic books,
portable radio, basketballs, and barbells. Barney says he doesn't need a
lot of stuff. Kim says he should only pack things that are really important.
However, Baby Bop has nothing except her blankey. Next, Barney has the
kids go over the hiking rules:
Stay with the group, no matter what.
You can look at all the flowers and plants, but don't pick them.
If you see an animal, don't try to touch it, even if it looks friendly.
If you get lost, stay where you are and blow your whistle until
someone finds you.
Everyone begins their hike in the woods, as they sing "A Hiking We Will Go".
They stop in front of a log blocking the trail. Chip guesses they could go
around, but Barney says it would be much fun if they go over it. They walk

the back of the line, says she wants to do it again, when BJ informs her to
stay with the group.

As everyone continues their hike, they pass by many plants and animals,
such as squirrels and raccoons. Next, Kim says she's hungry from all the
walking and asks if it's a good time to eat. Barney accepts and asks
everyone to get out their mess kits. BJ ends up dumping trash on the
FAN ground. Hannah tells him to stop, and BJ asks what he's done wrong.

Barney explains that a mess kit is a collection of silverware and cookware
used during camping and backpacking. BJ apologizes for not
understanding what a mess kit is, thinking it's for making a mess, so

everyone cooperates to pick up all the trash on the ground and put it in

the trash bag as they sing "Pick Up Your Part Of The World". After all the
trash is picked up, Baby Bop and BJ find a trash can in the forest, where
ANIME they can safely dump all the trash. Then, Stephen shows everyone else a
pine cone he found while picking up the trash.
MOVIES While everyone has lunch, Hannah states that the forest reminds her of a
national park she once went with her family. Stephen says he thought a
park is somewhere you play in. Barney says that it's one kind of park, and
TV shows this kind of park Hannah's been talking about, through the
Adventure Screen, which shows many different kinds of national parks.
Afterward, everyone gets infected by mosquitoes. They gather their
VIDEO lunches and hurriedly leave the woods.
At dusk, Stephen writes his parents a letter about his day at camp and
WIKIS reads it to Chip. After the letter is read, Kim announces that it's time for
the evening campfire. Barney and the kids meet at the campfire. Kim asks
where Baby Bop and BJ are. Barney says they have to put away the

WIKI supper dishes. So with no time to spare, Barney decides to have a
campfire sing-along. He takes out his guitar and everyone sings "That Is
What It Means To Be A Friend".
Hannah wonders what's taking Baby Bop and BJ so long. Barney guesses
that they're thinking of a name for the puppy. The kids guess "Fido" or
"Ringo". Barney says he knows what "name-o" he might like. He leads
everyone singing "BINGO". After the song, Baby Bop and BJ arrive at the
campfire. Baby Bop claims that she'll name the dog "Bingo". Next, BJ
announces that it's time for a scary campfire story. Baby Bop says she
doesn't like scary stories. She shudders in fear as everyone sings "Scary
Stories".
BJ wants to tell the story of "the ooky-spooky thing that ate all the
flowers". Baby Bop says she doesn't want to hear it. As BJ begins his
story, Baby Bop panics as she screams, "BJ, I DON'T WANNA HEAR IT! LA-
LA-LA-LA-LAAAAA!" Suddenly, everything grows quiet. Barney explains
that she was so loud, she would have scared the little bugs and birds and
animals. Baby Bop apologizes loudly. Barney says that if they should just
listen to all the nighttime sounds, the animals would feel better. Everyone
sings "Listen To The Nighttime".
Barney claims that their day at camp has come to an end. BJ lowers the
camp flag, and everyone sings a reprise of "Camp WannaRunnaRound".
After that, Bingo arrives. Baby Bop and BJ take Bingo home as they
disappear. Barney and the kids sing one last song "I Love You". After the
song, Barney says good night to the campers as they return to their
cabin.
Suddenly, to Stephen's surprise, he discovers that he is back in the

sees that he still has the pine cone, thinking he got it from his
imagination. He places the pine cone next to Barney and puts his forest

ranger hat on him and then says goodbye to him and leaves. Stephen's
hat that Barney is wearing transforms into a camp outfit (a hat and green
bowtie), and then the plush dinosaur winks at the camera, ending the
video.
