As you may be aware. all Central Government Ministries/ Departments and Central Public Sector
Undertakings are mandated to procure 25% (as amended .in 20 18) of their annual value of goocls or
services from micro and small enterprises vide Public Procurement Order Notified vide S.O. 581 (E)
dated 23rd March, 20 12. Under the policy, 358 items are exclusively reserved for proc~trernent from MSEs
which help in promotion and growth of Micro and Small Enterprises, and play a critical ro le in fostering
inclusive grov. th in the country.

2. The existing list required a relook to find out the relevance in the present day context of
technological change, growth of sma ll and micro enterpri se~. Various stakeholders had recommended that
services be also included in the list Thus, the Internal Technical Committee of this Ministry has prepared
a revised list of 469 items (including Goods & Services) to be reserved for exclusive procurement from
MSEs.

3. Tlnis being a vital protec.tive policy for micro and small enterprises, you are requested to kindly send
