Short film scrip

Int – At House morning. 8 o clock Am.
Leo wakes up to his alarm buzzing, still tired even though he
had just woken up. Leo had been up most of the night on his
phone scrolling through social media. He takes a deep sigh and
grabs his phone from the desk on his left. Leo picks his phone
up and starts scrolling through social media. Leo doesn’t
realise what time it was before he started scrolling through
social media.
Cut to
Later:

Int – Bedroom 9.30 o clock AM
Leo is still scrolling through social media when he realises
that an hour and a half have passed.
Leo
Bugger I should probably get up.
He Jumps up from his bed discarding his messy bed, sighing. He
grabs his phone as he makes his way downstairs. Still looking
at his phone. He doesn’t notice the news articles of an
asteroid approaching earth. He Carry’s on getting ready to
leave. He opens the curtains. It’s a sunny morning, he doesn’t
make his bed and starts to make his way downstairs.

Int – walking downstairs.
Low shot
Leo starts to walk downstairs but he’s not paying attention,
he is paying more attention to his phone. He completely misses
the news articles about an Asteroid hitting the earth later
that day. Leo makes his way downstairs to make breakfast. He
heads into the kitchen and turns left to head to cabinet; He
walks over to the cabinet and grabs the door handle to open
it. After this he stands there for 2 minutes trying to decide
whether to choose cornflakes or Weetabix. After a minute he
decides to go for cornflakes. He grabs the box not paying
attention. He places the cornflakes on the countertop and then
goes to the next cabinet to grab a bowl. He grabs the bowl and
puts it next to the cornflakes.
Leo
Leo sighs
Bugger, I need milk.
Leo starts to sit down with his cereal and bowl but then
realises he forgot the milk. Leo gets up again and goes
towards the fridge to grab the milk. He grabs the milk and
sits down at the breakfast bar to start making his breakfast.
Leo leaves his phone for about 5 minutes before he’s back on
it again.
Int – Spill milk over 5
Leo accidentally spills the milk over when trying to pour it
into his cereal. Leo wasn’t paying attention when pouring as
he was more interested in scrolling through his social media –
Tik Tok. Leo doesn’t realise he has spilled the milk over the
table. So, the milk just starts dripping off the table.
Leo
(Leo sighs deeply, shaking his head)
Ah damn.
Leo doesn’t realise the milk is spilt over the table so
continues to scroll through his social media while the milk
drips onto the floor.
Int – clean up spilt milk.

Leo suddenly realises that he has spilt the milk when he takes
a quick look at his bowl to see where his spoon has gone. Leo
stops what he is doing to clean up the spilled milk. He jumps
up and walks to the sink to grab a wet cloth. He walks back
and starts cleaning up the spilled milk on the table. After he
cleans up the spilled milk, he put the milky cloth under the
tap and cleans it out. He then places the wet cloth on the tap
flat and goes back to the breakfast bar to start eating his
breakfast.
Int – Back upstairs to get ready. 7
After Leo cleans up the milk and finishes his breakfast he
makes his way upstairs, about halfway up the steps, he is on
his phone which makes him trip over the steps on his way up.
While failing he throws his phone and gasps. Leo laughs while
getting up he continues to walk up the rest of the stairs.
Leo
Ah shit.
He gets up from the stairs grasping as he falls. He grabs his
phone and carries on.

Ext – Walking up hill to get bus. Day
Leo finally finishes getting ready not noticing the time, he
locks his house up and starts walking up the bus stop not
noticing the time is ticking. He checks his phone and realises
that the bus comes in 5 minutes. He hurry’s his pace up to the
bus but misses the bus by a minute. As Leo is walking up the
Hill, he doesn’t notice the posters on the sidewalk and at the
bus stop talking about the incoming apocalypse. He continues
to walk to the bus on his phone not paying attention to his
surroundings.
A graphic comes up saying half an hour later.
Leo
(Annoyed, sighs)
When’s the next bus coming.
He checks the bus times and realises the next bus isn’t until
half an hour later.

Ext – On Bus on way to Bournemouth Day
Leo is finally on the bus. He again checks his phone until he
finally gets to Poole.
It’s quiet on the roads especially in town. He doesn’t think
too much of it and continues to go on his phone.

Ext – In Poole waiting for bus.
Leo stands around just waiting for the next bus to arrive. He
doesn’t notice that there weren’t many people around. He still
continues to scroll through his messages.

Ext – In Bournemouth.
Leo gets off the bus still on his phone, He starts to walk
towards Bournemouth square. He still doesn’t realise that is
more or less nobody around. He continues to walk towards
Bournemouth square.

Ext – In Bournemouth walking around Day.
Leo finally arrives in Bournemouth; he puts his phone in his
pocket to get off the bus as he gets off the bus, he walks a
few steps and gets his phone back out of his pocket. He Cary’s
on walking no paying attention to his surroundings. Leo walks
into Bournemouth square when he gets a bad feeling. Leo gets a
notification that he tried to get rid of but accidentally
opens it instead. It was a warning for an approaching asteroid
approaching towards earth. Leo realises he’s out in the open.
He finally looks up to realise there was nobody around. After
looking around Leo finally notices the posters around
Bournemouth Square.
Leo
Leo looks at the camera, looking scared. Leo stands still
stuck to the spot.
Leo mutters to himself
Oh sh*t.
The asteroid gets closer to where Leo was. Leo didn’t make it
very far when it hit.
Screen goes black, starts playing music.
