Thank you for choosing the Soldano SLO-100. We hope you enjoy playing it for decades to come.

The original Soldano Super Lead Overdrive (SLO-100) set the standard for modern high-gain amplification. Its
searing harmonics, clarity, and sustain have become legendary. It all started in 1987, when Mike Soldano built
one of the first high-gain amplifiers to deliver a perfect balance of gain, harmonics and sustain, with an
unsurpassed touch response. The 100-watt monster found itself backing up renowned rock guitarists like Mick
Mars (Motley Crue), Warren de Martini (Ratt) and Howard Leese (Heart). The normal channel offered modern
clean or bluesy crunch modes, making the SLO-100 a go-to for non-metal stalwarts, such as Mark Knopfler, Eric
Clapton, Warren Haynes, Gary Moore and Lou Reed. Today, the amp’s tone and steadfast reliability remain a
staple for thousands of guitarists around the world.

Your new SLO-100 delivers upon its legendary reputation while incorporating many of the most player-requested
improvements including:

Depth control
Historically, one of the most requested SLO mods is a DEPTH control to the amplifier’s power section which
is now standard. The Depth and Presence controls give players precise global shaping of the amp’s sonic
character.

Improved Noise Floor

The new SLO-100 features a DC heater circuit, eliminating AC ripple through the preamp tubes, creating
an all-but-low-noise high-gain amp without altering its signature tone.

Versatile & Transparent effects loop

The new SLO boasts a new ultra-transparent, tube-buffered effects loop that will handle anything from
vintage pedals to high-powered rack units. For tube purists, who prefer straightforward amp tone, a
hardwire bypass switch is now included, allowing you to completely remove the effects loop from the
circuitry. The new return level control can be used to set up two foot-switchable, preset volume levels.

On-board channel switching

Players familiar with the original SLOs will be elated at our inclusion of an onboard channel-select toggle.
Perfect for applications such as studios, where you don’t want to rely on a footswitch.

Mike Soldano created the SLO-100 to be the best and most versatile amplifier in the world. Over three decades
later, that hasn’t changed a bit. The SLO-100 is proudly hand-crafted in the United States using only the highest-
grade components and is backed by a lifetime warranty. Thank you again for choosing the SLO-100 - we hope
you enjoy playing it for decades to come…
