Problem
Rough operation of the front, swing, or travel may occur due to malfunction of the Electromagnetic Pressure Reducing Valve (EPRV). The spring
inside the EPRV may break.

Solution
If rough operation occurs, follow the procedure outlined below:

1. Purge the air from the hydraulic lines. Refer to Special Instruction, M0089945 , "Procedure to Purge Air from the Pilot Circuit on Certain
Next Generation Hydraulic Excavators".

2. If rough operation continues, replace the failed parts with new ones. Refer to Table 2 for the list of required parts.

3. After replacement, purge the air in the hydraulic lines and fan pump. Refer to Special Instruction, M0089945 , "Procedure to Purge Air from
the Pilot Circuit on Certain Next Generation Hydraulic Excavators" and Testing and Adjusting, "Excavator"Hydraulic System Air - Purge"".

4. Calibrate the new valve. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, Implement - Calibrate for additional information.
