Jiva Vedic Adhyayana Samsthana (Jiva Institute of Vedic Studies) is a non-profit

organization, founded in 2004 under the Society’s Act, registered at Agra. It is an
educational institution of higher education that offers an array of courses rooted in the
traditional sciences and knowledge systems of India. Students will also learn how to live in
society in harmony with nature while progressing towards the ultimate goal of life. There is
no discrimination for participating in this knowledge system on the basis of one’s physical,
social or economical background.
The programs and courses not only provide students with the knowledge and skills that
contribute to their successful professional readiness and placement, but also equips them
with a sense of responsibility toward society and the environment. This knowledge is
based truly on the Indian paradigm. With an Indian framework at its core, Jiva Institute
enables Eastern topics- as well as Western topics-to be studied from an indigenous
perspective.
Jiva Institute also runs a Sanskrit under the name of Chaitanya Sanskrit Samsthana. This
school is affiliated with Sampoornananda Sanskrit University, Benaras. This school
teaches courses in Shastri and Acarya which are equivalent to graduate and post-
graduate degrees respectively. The affiliation is in six subjects namely, Sanskrit grammar,
Sahitya, Purana, Vedanta, Gaudiya Vedanta and Jyotisha. Every year about 300 students
appear for examination through this school.
Jiva Institute organizes courses and seminars all over the world. In the spiritual
atmosphere of Vrindavan, Jiva invites groups or individual visitors to spend some days or
weeks at the Institute.  You can learn about Vedic culture and philosophy, take Sanskrit
classes, or Ayurvedic treatments according to your choice. Discovering the wisdom of
Vedic scriptures and applying it to our lives is a continuous, joyful journey: classes on
spiritual topics and Sanskrit grammar, cow service, and Yoga are some of the activities
you can join.

Also, scholars and students from around the world come to study at the Institute. Besides
courses and seminars, Dr. Satyanarayana Dasa conducts classes in English on Srimad
Bhagavata. Other members of the staff conduct regular classes in Hindi on philosophy and
Harinamamrta-vyakaranam, the Sanskrit grammar composed by Jiva Gosvami. Many
scholars come to consult books for research.

technique and interpretation for professional
and amateur musicians. Vocal technique is
the study and application of the precepts of
vocal mechanics [such as anatomy,
acoustics and the influence of different
psychological states on the voice] so that the
person can develop an effective,
comfortable, pleasant vocal production with
complete control, thus leading him to the full

realization of his vocal and artistic potential.

SATYANARAYANA DASA

DAILY BHAKTI BYTE

If you commit an offense, it will cover your wisdom to make proper decisions. Your
intelligence gets covered and then you trouble and blame others. You rationalize your
behavior and you can’t recognize your wrong actions. You become slack in your practice
and you start finding faults with others, and you lose faith. And then you will create more
offenses. Offenses should be carefully avoided.

— Babaji Satyanarayana Dasa
