TASK 2
1. As a student how will you empower and nurture traditional folk and ethnic dances in the
Philippines?
Because I saw that folkdances are no longer existent or are only performed by a few individuals,
and that some people have forgotten about it, some people have not forgotten about it. As a
student, I believe that by promoting what folk and ethnic dances we have, I may contribute to
promote and nourish our own traditional folk and ethnic dance. There are methods to promote it,
just as it was proper to utilize social media today. You may produce a basic or short video of
yourself or a group doing a traditional folk dance or ethnic dance and upload it on any social
media site. Make sure your video is intriguing and eye-catching so that the viewers are
       entertained.
People nowadays like watching amusing films, and some people are not interested in folk and
ethnic dances because they believe it is too dull to see such type of dance. When something gets
viral, individuals of different nations will attempt it as well. As a result, more Filipinos would be
able to appreciate their own culture and customs. Another thing is that it is beneficial to perform
it in many ways, such as group dance contests at school, whether local, national, or worldwide,
with the assistance of teachers. It was an excellent idea to have a competition at Buwan Ng Wika
and/or just a Fiesta with individuals performing various traditional folk dances and ethnic dances.
2. How do traditional and folk dances give empowerment to the culture of its different origin such
as provinces, tribes etc?
One of a country's identities is its culture. The Philippines was recognized for its rich culture and
traditions, which were shaped and built through time. By the utilization of traditional and folk
dances, it becomes a tool to promote Filipino culture both domestically and globally. There are
several traditional dances in our nation. The Philippines is divided into seventeen areas that span
the three main islands: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Each of the locations has its own culture
and folk dances, which have been maintained and are still practiced by certain inhabitants. That
just demonstrates that Filipinos care about our traditions and believe in them.
Traditional and festival dances portray early Filipino life and culture. These dances empower the
culture of its many roots, such as provinces, tribes, ethnic groups, and the country of the
Philippines, showing its beauty to the next generation via dances.
This acts as a means to remember the cultures and make young and elderly Filipinos remember
and know these cultures, as well as live with them in order to pass them on to the future
generation. It primarily preserves a people's culture through sharing and teaching the dances to
new generations. Dancing also keeps people's histories alive. Dances are means for a community
to commemorate a noteworthy event or historical occasion.
History provides us with a better understanding of the events, challenges, and celebrations that
shaped the people who created our art form. In traditional civilization, dancing has various
functions: it is a fundamental aspect of religion, a symbol of traditional culture, and a recreation.
3. As a Filipino students why traditional and folk dances should be observed in Philippines school?
Folk dances, in my opinion, are significant because they assist to preserve a culture. Folk dances
are significant because they help to maintain Filipino culture and pass it down to future
generations. They serve as a unifying factor for the Filipino people.
Because its enjoyable, but also contains movements that match the aforementioned requirements
of developing body soul spirit connection and helping in brain growth that supports healthy
academic learning. Children can benefit from dancing in a variety of ways, including sensory and
spatial awareness, coordination, focus, and mobility. Yet we also utilize it to convey emotions,
boost confidence, or simply make ourselves feel better.
is culturally significant because it demonstrates diversity and uniqueness: considered intangible
cultural heritage, but there has been a significant shift in performing the folk dance. Finally, most
Filipinos are still aware of the Philippine Folkdance, which gives them a sense of pride.
                                              TASK 3
1. What do you think proper diet has a great influence in improving dance performance?
Dancing is physically demanding and requires a great deal of attention and energy. Continuous
training and accomplishment wears down muscles, joints, and bones. It is critical for dancers to
be adequately fed in order for them to perform at their peak. Nutritional consumption will not
only improve strength, focus, and attention, but will also aid in the prevention of injury and
tiredness, as well as promote longevity in the dance profession.
It maintains the dancer in good shape and healthy for the performance. It balances the body, and
hence the dancer's performance. It also strengthens the dancer's immune system and provides
        energy for the dance performance.
It's important to maintain a healthy lifestyle as a dancer. One of the most critical aspects of a
dancer's well being is diet. Sufficient fuel for the body is extremely necessary in order to maintain
proper energy levels, prevent injury and remain healthy throughout the competition season so
that personal performance does not suffer. Good dancers should take healthy snacks and
maintain a balanced diet made up of sufficient drinks, vegetables, fats, proteins, and plenty of
        vitamins and minerals.

People of all ages, shapes, and sizes can benefit from dancing's many health benefits, including
improved heart and lung health, increased muscular strength, endurance, and motor fitness,
improved weight management, stronger bones, and a lower risk of osteoporosis, as well as
        improved coordination, agility, and flexibility.
Dancing improves flexibility, balance, agility, coordination, power, responsiveness, and speed. It
also improves the health of the heart and lungs, increases muscular strength, endurance, and
motor fitness, increases aerobic fitness, and improves muscle tone and strength.
According to a research published in The New England Journal of Medicine, dancing can
improve your memory and perhaps delay the beginning of dementia. Additional research has
discovered that aerobic dancing activities can prevent volume loss in the area of the brain that
governs memory (the hippocampus), which shrinks in late adulthood.
A research published in the Journal of Applied Gerontology discovered that partner dance to
music helped decrease stress. Several studies have shown similar outcomes, with some showing
that dance might enhance serotonin levels, which can improve your mood.
3. How would you promote dancing as form of physical activity that improves fitness and health in
Community? State strategies
To enhance physical activity, community-based initiatives target communities, families, and other
important social groups. To encourage a more active lifestyle among relatively homogeneous
populations, effective programs frequently use peer support or group-based classes. When we
dance, we enhance our muscleless strength, which improves our overall range of motion. We also
increase or improve our balance when dancing. Dancing may be promoted since coordination and
        posters strengthen our core strength.
I can encourage dancing as a sort of physical activity that increases fitness because when we
dance, our bodies and muscles are always moving, which keeps them healthy and functional.
It is now used in a variety of workouts including as Zumba, Aerobics, and others. Because we
currently live in a contemporary culture, I plan to promote fitness and health via dancing by
encouraging individuals in my neighborhood to use technology to learn new dance routines that
will help them be physically healthy.
