“Nimble café”

Executive summary
This business plan is on a start up, “Nimble café”, which is a tech-based café and high
configuration gaming zone provider. It is design to catch the urban people and provide a place
where people can do their essential work and youth like gamers can find a place a entertain
them self under a cozy environment. The business came up with high tech based customized
gaming zone, where people easily can access the premium online gaming site and “Nimble
café” will also offer them some in house customized tournament. The service will be provided
from our own café area, for which customer can also claim some membership facilities to have
special features. “Nimble café” mission is to attract the people to have the blessing of
technology and gamers to provide a safe and cozy place for entertainment purpose and with
the vision of changing the technology-based market and leading this gaming industry into next
level. Its objective is to reduce people hassle about technological usage and for youth to have
safer, cozy and most advanced gaming hub.

In this report, the Business Model Canvas is used as a tool to simplify the intricacies of various
aspects of “Nimble cafe”. The model sheds light on Customer Segments, Value Propositions,
Channels, Customer Relationships & segmentations, Revenue Streams, Key Resources, Key
Activities and Key Partners of “Nimble cafe”. Later, business environment analysis has been
done to evaluate the surroundings that may affect this startup. Here PESTEL Analysis, Porter’s
five forces analysis, SWOT Analysis, and Stakeholders Analysis has been done thoroughly.
This should give a clear visualization of the position of “Nimble cafe” in its territory.

The description of the venture mentions the service, magnitude and current status of “Nimble
cafe”. The business belongs in the tech and gaming industry and its office, production facility
is under the process of finalizing; also, its brand name and the logo will soon be trademarked.
For the success of “Nimble cafe”, management’s obligatory experience is of tech and gaming
related skills are financial management skills, operations management skills, and marketing,
sales & customer service experience.

The Marketing Plan of “Nimble” emphasizes the price, promotion, positioning, and people
related to the venture. At the very beginning, a verbal survey was done to study the market.
The business has planned to create awareness, use social & digital media and run promotion to
reach customers while increasing customer engagement.

“Nimble café”

“Nimble cafe” is the brainchild of five dynamic entrepreneurs who all contributed funds to kick
start this business. They have a general partnership agreement; stating details on the ownership,
profit distribution and authoritative rights of the business. A venture capital firm also
contributed to the venture in exchange for 20% stake in the ownership. The partners of “Nimble
cafe” have taken up the managerial positions of the firm. Here the roles of management are
explained and the qualification of the partners is justified. The CEO of “Nimble cafe” has the
most power in the organization, followed by the COO.

HR policies and procedures define the incentivization, promotion, compensation and


termination methods of the company. The business plan also includes the risk assessment of
“Nimble cafe”, where the various threats associated with the existence of the business and the
risks of new technology used are evaluated. Two contingency plans are put in place in the cases
of unanticipated events.

In this business plan, a financial plan is incorporated which is created around certain realistic
assumptions. Besides managing funding for the firm, the business will also be taking a bank
loan. Pro forma income statement and projected cash flow of 5 years are included, with the
first year by months. The annual balance sheet for 5 year of “Nimble café” is also created.
Source and utilization of funds are explained meticulously, with a break-even analysis stating
“Nimble cafe” will approach to BEP after serving a certain amount of customer that are shown
in the break-even analysis segment. After generating enough profit, the owners will take a
specific portion of the profit for themselves; divided according to their ownership of the
company.

Much planning, idea-generating and researching have gone into the business plan of “Nimble
cafe”. Backed up by the support system and some experts, the entrepreneurs are optimistic
about the future of this venture.

“Nimble café” is a start-up which is based off of the simple idea of convenience. “Nimble café”
is mainly café based separate gaming and office zone provider service. It is a café where both
gamers will find a place to play some premium games, spend time and participate in some
customized tournaments and also official work can be done here under a great ambiance. The
service will be provided by the physical presence of the customers and also can get information
about the service from the internet.” Nimble café” envisions to bring the most comfortable
cozy environment for gamers with free excess to premium games and also offers to provide

We will follow the service line pricing model for “nimble café”. For our cyber and gaming
segment we will set our price based on cost of the equipment that will be used during having
this service and other indirect that related to our service. We have different segment within
our main business which is recreation or coffee corner which pricing will be based on their
cost of making. The whole procedure of pricing model is created based on cost of materials
and targeted to gain a handsome amount of profit.

Social goal

“Nimble café’s” cyber service allows people to easily do their work in peaceful environment
and also with feasible complimentary gadgets. Here in our café people can easily get their
stressful job done by having peaceful vibe. Gamers also get their enjoyment in finest way.
They can spend their time peacefully and also; they can have entertainment by some
participating in some in-house tournament which can give them a peaceful mind after all the
academic pressure have keep in their head.

PESTEL ANALYSIS

To identify and analyse the key drivers of change in the strategic or business environment, the
PESTEL Analysis is a great tool. The idea is, if our service is better placed than our
competitors, it would be capable to respond more efficiently. It will facilitate an understanding
of wider business environment. It will motivate the development of external and strategic
thinking. It will enable our business to anticipate future business threats and to take actions
according to minimise or avoid them.

POLITICAL

Bangladesh is a democratic country. But the rate of corruption is very high here. The present
political situation of our country is stable and favourable to run our business. In addition, the
political influence is very less in our market sector. Since our business is enjoyable for
customer and a small business, we expect political support from our Government.

The overall economic condition of Bangladesh is improving with time. Now it is a developing
country which is an achievement after the economic degradation of liberation war.
Bangladesh’s GDP expected to grow by 8.9% in 2019 & inflation rates forecasted in 5.5% in
2019.Labour cost is very cheap here. Our target area is Dhanmondi. Public and private based
economy is existing together In Bangladesh. It’s a country with mixed economy system.

SOCIAL

Dhanmondi densely populated areas. Most of the people who live here are higher and higher
middle-class people. These areas are the hottest area of Dhaka. There have lots of universities
and colleges, students can enjoy our service and facilities. Our service can create a remarkable
positive impact on the people of these societies.

TECHNOLOGICAL

Bangladesh is a digital country now. Bangladesh is ready to open its market for breakthrough
technologies and innovations. Now Bangladesh also have many Café and gaming zone on its
market. Our service can make a revolution of both things.

ENVIRONMENTAL

The environmental impact is almost always positive and it is important that coffee production
and processing should be taken into account for environmental needs to make sure optimal
physical sustainability. Even more necessary is that the economic environment should be such
as to encourage stability and reasonable living standards for the populations involved with
coffee and to make sure the sufficient care should be given to make sure the maintenance of
the quality.

market and countries from where they buy raw materials. To get legal approval for our service
will be easy.

BUYER POWER

In an industry the presence of powerful buyers reduces the profit potential. Buyers increase
competition within an industry by forcing down prices, bargaining for improved quality or
more services. At the beginning we are targeting only one area of Dhaka so the buyer power
of customers is less. Though our service price is reasonable because it's a two in one service
but there is a strong scope of earning a huge scale of profits from our buyers.

SUPPLIER POWER

There are major five major factors of determining the power of suppliers are the bargaining
power of suppliers, number of suppliers relative to buyers, dependence of a supplier’s sales on
a particular buyer, switching costs of suppliers. Since we are first mover into a new market the
supplier power of our suppliers is very strong. We can secure prime distributers before others.

THREAT OF NEW ENTRANTS

In an industry threat of new entrants refers to the threat of threat of new competitors pose to
existing competitors. We are first mover into a new market.
There is a chance of risk for copying the technology of our product. In order to overcome this
situation, we will patent our technology soon. We have cost advantage of our product from our
indirect competitors.

1. The company will be selling al the property plan asset and will make its already established
website into gaming consultancy, virtual tournament hub and review firm.

2. another contingency plan is making the company into online gaming accessories and online
gaming site provider. As we already have enough resources and customer relation in gaming
industries, we can transform our company into online based tech accessories and gaming site

Assumption

1. We are assuming that we will grow by 12% in the second year of operation. The reasoning
behind it is that the service that we are providing is unique and exquisite hence people will try
it out.
2. We are assuming that we will grow by 10% in the third year of operation. The reasoning
behind it is because the rate of new entrants entering the market is high. Rise in competition
are driving force behind decreased rate.
3. We have rounded out each month to contain 25 days.
5. We are considering utility cost as a variable cost. The consideration is based off of the idea
of seasonality.
6. As we are a start-up, we are considering tax is as internal cost. We will add our tax expense
at the end of each year as internal expense.
7. Due to National budget we are considering that there might be changes our calculation after
June.
8. We have also assumed that healthy boost in sales in the next couple of years as gaming and
tech-based market is growing up simultaneously.

Payment from gaming pc: Here we are assuming that we will charge per hour 150 BDT from
customer. We will operate 12 hour per day for 25 days in month. Which a reasonable price
considering market demand and facilities we are proving.
Payment from Normal pc (official work): we assuming here to charge 100BDT per hours
basis. People use this for their official related work with internet facilities. They can also do
printing and scan their file, from which we will also charge a minimum fee for using scanner
and printing machine and also paper fees.
Payment from coffees: Here we will also sell coffee from where we will charge 80BDT per
hot coffee. Coffee is overall demandable drink by anyone and here in our business gamers can
have coffee as they will spend more time and can relax by having coffee.
Selling dessert: Here we will also sell a certain amount of dessert. We will not keep changing
our dessert variety because some fixed types of dessert will be in our collection. From which

we will targeting to charge 50 BDT for per dessert. We hoping that we will target the most of
our gamer customers as they spend more time here in our café.
Monthly membership: we provide monthly member to our customers. In the membership
program, we are offering some of the facilities that might be helpful for our customer
financially. Members who will have membership card they will get a discount on hourly rate
of pc usage. Specially gamers can have this opportunity. Under this membership facility they
have to per 50BDT less than other on per hour basis for straight 2 hours. We are also expecting
a bigger amount of revenue by offering this facility.

Cash outflow:

Advertising: In the first month of the business the initial cost for advertisement is going to be
high considering the ad making charge. As it is very first month of the business and an
establishment period so in this year cost would be higher than other months. Our main focus is
on the digital or online marketing. Initially we estimated that we will need minimum of 3,00,00
BDT for the first month. After the first introductory period, for the following months we will
spend a fixed amount 40,000 BDT for marketing purpose.

Office Rent: Our monthly rent for the office space is around 60,000 BDT. This amount is
based on the location and allocated space. We have pay 2 year of advance payment as a security
money which is near about 15,00,000 BDT. After first 2-year rent will increase respectively by
10% for the following years.

Wages and salaries: Staffs, worker, online representative, offline supporter etc. are the hearts
of our company to operate. Their yearly salary will be monthly 150,000 BDT for Year 1. In
the following years we will be hiring more man power and also existing employee’s salaries
will increase. So, we will have pay around 18.00,000BDT per year from the year 2.

Apps or website maintenance cost: A fixed amount of money will be spending on the purpose
of maintenance the app and website of our business. This amount is around 10,000BDT and
from the Year 2 this will also increase by 10% as we will develop our business.

Office expense: This expense is a sort of unpredictable but an essential expense for us to run
the business. This include all the necessary expenditure like: official product, emergency

procurement of official staff and many things. We roughly estimated the amount will be
150,000BDT per Year.

Utilities: Utility expense is also varying month to month. So estimated that will need around
160,000 BDT per for utilities.

Transportation: Transportation usage is a not that much incurred in our business, but
sometimes we also have spent some money on transportation purpose, which is around
80,000BDT per year.

Gaming site subscription: To offer gamers the access of different gaming-based website and
some paid game we have to buy the game and the monthly subscription from the website. This
expense is occurred at the beginning of the month. The expense is around 2,00,000BDT per
