How to introduce yourself in college


(i) Tell your name (Add an adjective with your name -
Grab the attention)
(ii) Place - (The city you come from. Add a sentence or
two about the city as well if there is something
interesting to talk about - historic monuments , Natural
resources)
(iii) Education - (Where did you last attend the school? 10
, +2) Are there any interesting facts about the school ?
(iv) Hobbies / Interests / Achievements.
-Go into details if you've pursued the hobby with
serious interest.
-Mention your participation in extracurricular
activities.
-Don't forget to mention any significant achievement
you've had.
(v)Department- Mention the Department you've
enrolled in.
-Mention why you picked the department. was it
because you love the field? Was it because it'll help you
achieve your goals? or you had no other real options.
(vi)Goal
-If you've decided the career path you want to
pursue after college. You can share it with your class
mates.
Example:
Friends , I am kind Kumar. I am from Tirunelveli - the
town famous for Halwa , educational institutions , textile
shops.etc. I finished my schooling last year from St.John's
Higher secondary school.
I like watching movies , at least once a month. I play
basket ball and chess every weekends. During my
schooldays I have participated and won many chess
tournaments.
I have chosen/joined this dep. out of my interest. My
goal is to become a Computer / Mechanical / Engineer.
