DAPAT BA SIRAIN ANG KALIKASAN UPANG UMUNLAD?
human activities have been the main driver of climate change
Destroying nature is as dangerous as climate change
Polar bears habitat
All life on earth is connected to the atmosphere
More stronger and frequent natural disasters, more intense rainfall, heatwaves kill the people,
forest fire
droughts
melting of Antarctic ice- there’s no technology that can reverse the melting of ice in the future
carbon dioxide by emitting fossil fuels, warming up of the ocean
overfishing
indigenous people lost their cultures and traditions because of the lack of sources from
nature(example: fishing)
inadequate water supply
industrialization and its effects
mining
land use change
expansion of agriculture
unsustainable way of growing food- biodiversity loss
food production- single largest contributer to deforestation and habitat destruction
extinction
what is the use of technology if there is no nature?
What is the point of technology if it just goes on to destroy life even more?
Why destroy nature and then fix it afterwards?
-Dahil sa pagsira sa kalikasan at maari tayong makagawa ng mga teknolohiyang makakapag pa
dali sa buhay ng tao, hayop at kalikasan.
-Kung mahalaga eto, bat namn ito sisirain sa simula?
-By destroying nature, we can look at how it affects us and the life of all forms and make the
technology needed for that specific issue so that it can be addressed correctly and much more
easily, and the most important is that the issue will most likely not happening again.
-Everything we use to this day are mostly from nature, if you are using these ,you are already
presenting the side you are disagreeing on.
-why are you wearing that uniform if you don’t support nature being destroyed for our
pagunlad
-why are you using paper in the class , paper is from trees , and to make paper you need to cut
down trees, so isn’t that what you call destroying nature?
Some things are inevitable , especially for the advancement of not only mankind but to every
life forms in our nature.
Destroying is essential for analization , in order to create solutions.
If we didn’t have forest and soil, our carbon emissions from fossil fuels would be even worse.
Just because we are destroying nature doesn’t mean we cant restore and replace nature into an
even better one.
What is there to restore if we already destroyed the life of nature?
Resources from nature can be used to trade/export to other countries to improve our
country’s economy- money can be spent towards restoring and taking care of wildlife,
donations towards wildlife organizations and environmental organizations.
Thrive to the future
Build homes not only for mankind but also better homes for our wildlife where their needs
(such as food and water) and safety are ensured for them to live a full live.
POINTS IN OUR SIDE: THIS IS NOT ABOUT TECHNOLOGY, THIS IS TO PROVE THE POINT THAT WE
NEED TO DESTROY NATURE FOR DEVELOPMENT
There’s no question that technology has stretched the limits of the planet’s carrying
capacity and separated many people from the natural world. On the flipside, technology
has also given us a clearer understanding of climate change, amazing advances
in alternative energy, and the prospect of a greener future. In some circles, technology
is even helping people reconnect with the natural world, fuelling a new desire to get
outside and protect nature’s amazing diversity.
Recent developments in technology are helping us interact with nature like never
before. Here are a few ways that people are using the tools at their fingertips to launch
a new relationship.
While the technological revolution has presented us with many challenges, it also
provides us with an ever-increasing measure of hope. Technology can bring us
into a close relationship with nature as a tool to teach, guide and protect our
fragile world.
