RULES AND REGULATIONS
Rules FIDE rules in force shall apply.
System of play The Tournament shall be conducted on a Nine rounds Swiss System Time Control 30 minutes each + 30 seconds
increment per move from Move No.1
Default Time Default time is 15 minutes. Players have to be at the boards within 15 minutes from the Start of the round.
Draw Offer Players shall not agree for a draw before Black’s 30th move, without the consent of the arbite.
Tie – Break Buchholz Cut1, Buchholz, Sonneborn Berger, Direct Encounter, number of wins (forfeit included) and greater
number of wins by black tie – break rules will be applied. In case of tie, prizes will not be shared.
AICF Player AICF player registration is compulsory for all players. AICF player
Registration Registration fee is Rs.300/- for the year 2022-2023. AICF player registrations will be accepted only through

Protests Protest if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be made in Writing with protest fee of Rs.1,000/-
within 15 minutes of the occurrence of the incident to the appeals committee. The protest fee will be refunded If
the appeal is upheld.
Appeals Committee Before the commencement of the Tournament, appeals committee will be formed from the senior participants
present at the players meeting. The appeals committee decisions will be final and binding for all players
concerned.
Withdrawals A player may withdraw at any stage of the event, after informing the Chief Arbiter in writing.

Electronic Devices All the Wrist watches and Mobile phones are strictly not allowed while playing the event.
Accommodation Free dormitory for the first 100 outstation participants.
Food & Snacks Food & Snacks are available on payment basis in venue.
Covid Protocol All Players are required to mandatorily adhere to the Covid Protocol Issued by Telangana Government at the
time of tournament.
Interpretation For interpretation of the rules and deciding any point not covered by the rules, the decision of the Tournament
Committee shall be final and binding. The Tournament Committee has every right to make any additional or
amendment to these rules, without notice. Such changes will, However be displayed at the tournament hall.
Entry Fees No Spot Entries will be entertained. Entry Fees are non – refundable and Non – transferable.
TDS Applicable TDS amount will be deducted from the Prize money. Waiving of TDS of GST is not possible in any case.
