Day 3 (Mount Nebo & Madaba) – March 21st

7:30 AM Depart for Mount Nebo


8:00 – 8:30 AM Visit Mount Nebo
9:00 AM Depart to Madaba
9:30 AM – 12:00 PM Guided walking tour through the ancient city of Madaba, including visits to St.
George’s Church & the Mosaic Map and the Madaba Archaeological Park.

After the tour, free time to shop until lunch.


12:30 – 1:30 PM Visit the Shrine of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist and the Church of
the Apostles
3:00 PM Arrive for hotel

Day 4 (Bethany, The Baptism Site) – March 22nd

9:00 AM Bus transport to Bethany, The Baptism Site


9:30 AM – 12:00 PM Tour Bethany, The Baptism Site
12:00 PM Depart for hotel

Day 5 (Petra) – March 23rd

7:00 AM Depart for Petra


10:00 AM Tour Petra, including the major landmarks of The Siq, The Treasury, The Tombs,
and The Street of Facades
1:00 PM Lunch: At Petra (arranged by AMIDEAST)
2:00 – 3:15 PM Free Time (must be at pre-arranged departure location by no later than 3:15
pm)
3:30 PM Depart Petra for hotel

Day 6 (Machaerus) – March 24th

11:00 AM Depart for Machaerus


12:00 – 1:30 PM Visit Machaerus
1:30 PM Depart for Dead Sea Museum
2:30 – 4:00 PM Lunch: At Dead Sea Panorama (arranged by AMIDEAST)
4:00 – 5:30 PM Visit the Dead Sea Museum, including free time to do the optional Zara Cliff
self-guided (25 minutes) walking trail and visit the souvenir gift shop
5:30 PM Depart for hotel

Day 7 (Lot’s Cave) – March 25th

9:00 AM Depart for Ghor es-Safi


10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Visit Lot’s Cave and Museum and the Lowest Place on Earth Museum
12:00 – 3:00 PM Lunch: Safi Kitchen (an experience preparing local foods with the local people
of the farm; arranged by AMIDEAST)
3:00 PM Depart for hotel
