Motivation
I will group you into three. Each group will be (Attentively listening)
given a jigsaw puzzle. You are given 3 minutes
to do the activity.
After completing, kindly give your answer on this
question:

What object was formed when you put the puzzle (Posting of completed puzzle with its name)
pieces together?
Group 1, you did it well. Group 2, you have to
improve your performance next time. Group 3, you
did it all good.
While doing the activity, do you think that each Yes ma’am
puzzle piece is important?
If a piece is missing, can we identify what is in the No ma’am
picture?
Based on the activity conducted, what was common They are parts of computer.
on the 3 objects? What are they?
Very good.
It is now clear to you about our lesson for 1. Identify the computer components
today. Hazel, kindly read the following necessary to complete the work in
objectives. accordance with established procedures
and check against system requirements.
2. Value the importance of each computer

3. Describe the function of each
component.

Congratulations to all of you.

How do you feel about the activity? Enjoyable ma’am!
Very good class!

ANALYSIS

Teacher Learners
Computer is an electronic device for storing and
processing data, typically in binary form, according
to instructions given to it in a variable program.

There are different components of a computer.

Can a computer operate without a system unit?

Rosalie answers, No ma’am.
lOMoARcPSD|16864048

Why do you say so? Rosalie answers, System Unit is the part of a
computer that houses the primary devices
that perform operations and produce results
for complex calculations.
Very good concept. Thank you ma’am.
Can we use a keyboard instead of a mouse in The class answers in unison, No ma’am.
pointing files, icons, and folders? Why? Keyboard is used in typing characters,
letters, numbers but not a pointing device.
Amazing. The whole class cheers having the correct
answer.

Can we used a monitor to display text, video, and

other information in the computer? Can you name
other device that can do the same? Hamsan answers, Yes ma’am. We can
used projector as well.

You got it right, Hamsan. You may now take your Thank you ma’am.
seat.

Can we reproduce a hardcopy of files saved in the

computer with the use of a printer? The class answers in unison, Yes ma’am.

You are right. Give yourselves a Boy Scout clap.

ABSTRACTION/DEEPENING

Teacher Learners
At a high level, all computers are made up of a processor (Attentively listening)
(CPU), memory, and input/output devices. Each computer
receives input from a variety of devices, processes that data
with the CPU and memory, and sends results to some form
of output.
Again, what are the major components of our computer? Input, Output, CPU and memory
I will give you an example. Like for example “keyboard”
Where do you think belong the mouse in the major Input
components of computer?
What will happen if we hit the button letter “G”? Processing(CPU) and stored to memory.
And what will be the output after processing and storing Display letter “G” on the monitor.
to a memory?
Very Good. Another Example “Microphone” is our input, Speaker
what will be the output?
There are many computer devices that we can encounter
and are used by different organizations,
establishment, and business.
When you are in a department store like De Rose, Barcode scanner
J&F Pure gold or Novo, what devices are used to gather
data such as price of the item,?
Who or what calculated our total payment? When the barcode reader fetches the
prices from the items bought, the
computer will automatically computes
the total payment.
Where will that information be displayed, Tom? It is displayed on the screen or
monitor ma’am.
How about when you withdraw money from an ATM ATM keypad or touchscreen
machine, what is used to encode or input your pin?
Are there somebody who manually computes the It is not manually computed but the
remaining balance or cash withdrawal when you are machine automatically did it.
transacting to an ATM machine? Who or what does it?
Yes, Jimmy?
Once withdrawal is confirmed, where will cash be Cash dispenser

With those scenarios, where do you think information I think it will be stored in a storage

What do you think will happen if one computer The user request will not be

accept and gather the data that we
need to key in. Every computer

and is very important in performing a
task. The absence of one will
make a computer useless.

Generalization
Teacher Learners
What have you learned today? I have learned the different components of
computer. Those are input, storage, and
output. Input devices are used for data entry,
storage device is used to keep files for a
certain time, and output device converts
information into human-readable form.
Very good.
Any additional insights from the class? Example of input devices are keyboard and
mouse. Storage components are CD, and
flash drive. Output devices are printer,
monitor, and speaker.
Amazing.
I think you are now much ready for the succeeding
task.

APPLICATION
Teacher Learners
With the same group, you are given 8 minutes to do
it and 2 minutes presentation for each group. First
group is assigned for input device, second group is
task on storage device, and the last group will be
assigned to output device.

Very good, everybody got it correct.

Congratulations!

of your experiences.
I do hope that everybody also finds their way to Yes ma’am
