should be taken into account according to EC Directive

4. First Aid Measures (Symptoms)


Skin contact May cause slight skin irritation, especially with repeated or prolonged
exposure.
Eye contact There may be irritation and redness. May cause some eye irritation which
should cease after removal of the product.
Ingestion Swallowing this material may be harmful or fatal. Symptoms may
include severe stomach and intestinal irritation ( nausea, vomiting and
diarrhoea).
Inhalation May cause irritation to the respiratory system, if mists or sprays may be
inhaled.

5. First Aid Measures (Actions)

Skin contact Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Wash of immediately with


soap and plenty of water, if skin irritation persists, call a physician.
Eye contact Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. In case of
eye irritation, seek medical attention.
Ingestion Do not induce vomiting. Give nothing by mouth in cases of
unconsciousness or convulsion. Check for breathing and pulse, if present,
place in the recovery position and obtain medical attention. If conscious
rinse out the mouth wiyh water. Give 1 pint ( 600 ml ) of water to drink
immediately and repeated drinks of water at a rate of a cupful ( 1/3
pint/200 ml ) every 10 minutes. Call a physcian immediately.

Inhalation Move to fresh air. Clear any blocked airways. If person is not breathing,
begin artificial respiration. If affected person feels unwell, seek medical
advice.

6. Fire Fighting measures

Extinguishing media: Foam, Dry powder, Carbon dioxide ( CO2 ), Water spray / fog
Protective Equipment Do not stay in dangerous zone without self contained breathing apparatus
Other note Prevent fire fighting water from entering surface water or ground water

7. Accidental release measures

Personal precautions Refer to section 9 of SDS for personal protection details.


Environmental precautions Do not allow large quantities to enter local drainage systems
Clean-up procedures Soak up with inert absorbent material ( e.g. sand silica gel, acid
binder, sawdust ), Sweep up and shovel into suitable cantainers
for disposal. After cleaning flush away traces with water.
Contain washwater and dispose of in accordance with local
regulations.

8. Handling and Storage

Handling requirements Do not eat, drink or smoke during use. Remove contaminated
clothing immediately and launder before re-use. Wash hands
before breaks and immediately after handling the product. Avoid
formation of sprays or mist.

Containers of this material may be hazardous when emptied.


Since emptied containers may retain product residues (vapour,
liquid, and/or solid).

Storage conditions Avoid extremes temperatures. Store in closed container in a dry,


well ventilated area. Keep from freezing.
