Le Plaisir is a cosy and quaint European cafe located in the suburbs of Pune.
A warm and
cute ambiance, replete with vintage filament lights, an outdoor as well as indoor seating
arrangement, Le Plaisir is chic and calm with a dash of subtle sophistication.
The decor of Le Plaisir is elegant and enchanting, with comfortable seating around a little
garden on the outside while a two storeyed seating indoor. The menu is quite extensive with
unique daily chef recommendations and a variety of options to suit all tastes, with special
vegan and gluten free options alongside the usual vegetarian and non vegetarian delicacies.
An authentic European food experience, with a wonderful all day breakfast menu consisting
of artisan delights such as the banana Nutella crepe, ratatouille and cheddar sandwiches, Le
Plaisir was established by professional chefs from France in order to introduce an unique
culinary experience in India. Le Plaisir is a connoisseur’s delight with its patio and chic
interiors, menus written on a blackboard and an earthy ambience.
Burnt burgers, created using specially handcrafted sugardough and containing a salad of
lettuce, tomato, onion and gherkin, are an immediate indulgence. I particularly savoured the
walnut salad with iceberg, honey and Gorgonzola which was fresh, juicy and flavourful. The
spaghetti pesto was divine incandescence.
The lemon tarts, the new York cheese cake and are some notable desserts. My favourite are
the macaroons with the wide range of flavours.
In addition to the food and the drinks, the service at Le Plaisr is exceptional and upto
international standards. The staff is attentive and helpful, and are always willing to go the
extra mile to ensure a wholesome experience.
This place is highly recommended for Sunday brunches, evening dates and a rendezvous for
European food lovers in town.
