B. Motivation

Before we start our topic for today, let's

have a short activity. For 10-20 seconds, I
want you to answer the questions that I
will be given to you. I'll be giving you 10
seconds to think for your answer. Is that
clear class? Yes ma’am

Ready? Let's now begin the activity. I'll

randomly picked 5 names and if your
name got picked. Be ready to answer my
questions, okay? Sure Ma’am, we’re ready.

(5 students have been chosen)

(Student will picked a question and be given

10 seconds to think for his/her answer)

great. And for those who we're not
picked, you'll have your chance later.

C. Lesson proper

Now, why did I make you do that

activity? Anyone?

No one? Okay, then let's now proceed to

our topic which is all about "Fluency".

When we say fluency, it is about how

well you used the English language
whether it’s written or in speaking. On
how fast can you respond using the
language. In fluency, you need to
remember these two things: be concise
and coherent.

Now, what do we mean by being concise

and coherent?

When we say concise, just use fewer

words. Don't go around the bush. Be
straight to the point. By being concise
you'll get the attention of the people
you're talking with.

Do you understand now about being

concise? yes ma’am
Very good. Now, let's move to the next
one

When we say coherent, ideas should be

organize. There should be unity between
your sentences.

Here are some tips if you want to be

fluent in English:
1. Speak at length.
2. Speak naturally. Do not memorize.
3. Minimize thinking sounds (also known
as“fillers”). Can use connectors but do
not overuse it.
4. Organize ideas. Do not go off topic.

none ma’am

imagine yourself applying for a work.
Find a partner. Now, choose who will be
the A and B. Both of you will become the
interviewer and interviewee. I want you
to apply our lesson and your partner will noted ma’am
be the one who will assess if you really
understand the discussion earlier. yes ma’am
