number in the sequence with the general term

(2) Find the value of (-10) – ( -05) – (+8)

(3) Expand −𝑥(2𝑥 − 2 𝑦 − 𝑧)

(4) Use the below information to calculate the mass of olives purchased by Siril at her local
convenience store:
Siril asked for 100 g of olives. After first weighing 172 g of olives, the store worker took out 03
g and then put back 07 g.

of the square?

13ft

18ft

(8) If x is increased by 24, the sum is 52. What is x? simplify using Algebraic Expressions

1
■ Answer the Question 9 and 10 by considering the following Drawing

85 + 68+127 = 211°
360 – 211 = 149°
x = 149°

(9) John writes the above calculations to find x but the teacher said it's wrong by using the
knowledge of the lesson angles explain why john is wrong

(10) Workout the correct value of x

( 1 ×10 = 10 marks )

Part II

1. 01. Study the house plan of Miss.Kuweni and answer the questions and let “x” be 8 m

i. What is the perimeter of Kuweni’s Kitchen?

ii. If her husband Vijaya wants to lighten her living room by LED light strip around Living Room and
bedroom 2 then what will be the total length of the LED strip

iii. If her daughter Disala said bedroom 2 has higher perimeter than the Kitchen, state whether is it
correct or wrong

iv. If she wants to protect her family by Naga Lokey Knights then she will spread a fire all around her house then
what will be the total fire spreading length

02. Write the answers to the a.) and b.) by using knowledge of Angles and Algebraics
a.) In the below figure, lines AB and CD intersect at O. If∠ AOC + ∠ BOE = 80° and
∠ AOD = 140°, find ∠ BOE and ∠ COE.

( 05 marks )

b.) In the below figure, lines XY and MN intersect at O. If ∠ POY = 90° and a = x + 20, b = x + 30
c = x + 40 Construct an algebraic expression and find x.

( 05 marks )

03. Write the answers according to the given roman numbers, by using knowledge of
Directed numbers
This thermometer shows a reading of 12°C at the start. Write the new readings that would be
displayed after each of these changes in temperature:
